Good point. The jokes are not over played.

My only fear is it's the old "trailer better than the film" thing.

Have they been spotted filing anywhere? Any ideas on cars reviewed, challenges etc?
There are 3 or 4 articles went up on driving.co.uk about it yesterday which talk about a number of the cars and reviews they are doing etc. mostly written by Clarkson.

Our Amazon prime ran out yesterday. My wife accidentally subscribed last year when a 1 month trial ran out, but I kept it to watch TGT.

I can’t decide whether to bother as TGT was a bit of a disappointment, and other than kids stuff, we never watch anything else on amazon Prime video.

Amazon Prime delivery is now a bit of a con as it seems Amazon prime products are always more expensive than choosing the nonPrime option so you are still paying the postage.

Still, maybe I will pay for the monthly option and see how the first episodes of TGT go.

I look forward to a new Grand tour trailer now, which is better than I could have really said about any of the actual last series (not that I thought it was terrible, it just missed the mark a bit for me). Here's hoping they maintain this standard.

If you aren't getting anything out of Prime anything more than TGT then it probably isn't for you. I've given my user name and password to friends and family so they all get the benefit but even just for ourselves, I feel Prime is great value.

I particularly like that a friend can rent a movie and we get to watch for free.

Second probably only in value for money to the BBC licence fee.

I get nothing out of Amazon prime either. I don't order much from Amazon and any time I've paid for next day delivery they've constantly failed to manage it.

I rarely watched anything other than TGT.

Last series there was plenty of places to download episodes. I know it's not right, but Amazon have to offer more if they want £80.

Like many I don't ever need Amazons next day service. I'm normally content to wait a few days for the free option.

Clearly on that basis TGT is not worth £80 a year. Especially since it's only 1 series per year.

Should they have gone to Netflix instead? I like Netflix, there's more on it I'm likely to watch (Even if their User interface is a bit of a faff on Virgin)

I for one am glad they're on Amazon not Netflix, as I don't have the latter and I don't watch enough TV and films to justify a subscription. I'm on Amazon for the postage, the free returns (arguably more important), special offers, etc.

I was at the filming for the New Years episode. Both the car review and the challenge were very, very good! Hammond test drives the McLaren 720S. I know I'm not supposed to say anything, but I'm pretty sure this car featured in one of the trailers anyway ...

Join a student course and get a NUS student card and you can get it free for 6 months and then ~£40 a year / ~75p a week.

I'm sure for every person that does that there will be 10 who just pirate it. They've admitted they know it happens.

Will Amazon be happy with that long term? Or will they just use it as a loss leader.

That was very clever. Looking forward to it. We were at friends on Friday night, he too only got Amazon for TGT. It was nice to hear that he also banishes his wife from the room when it comes on late in the evening, Sarah thought it was just her byebye

Followed a car transporter yesterday, had 3 old Fiat Uno's on the top and 3 old fords on the bottom, all were exactly the same, including the uno look a likes having the same different colored wing. Did make me thing it may be Grand Tour related!
