"...stkickers, asskickers and Methodists!"

One of my all time favourite films. It's a shame it sort of fades out at the end, but the rest is perfect.

"Can't you see this is the last act of a desperate man?"
"We don't care if it's the second act of Henry the Fifth; we're leaving."

The beans/non-stop farting scene...should have had an Oscar all of its own hehe
Even more so for the edited US version, where the farting noises were overdubbed by horses whickering!
I've seen that one in the USA.

Removing the fart sounds but happily leaving all the in it.

Crazy silly

In 2010 Mel Brooks said that the musical version of Blazing Saddles could be finished within a year! Apparently he wasn't joking!

So many good lines:

"The affairs of state must take precedence over the... affairs of state"

"Well, that's the end of this suit"

The bit when the god fearing woman stands up in church and reads out a letter to the state governor calling him the "biggest asshole in the state".

Plus the bit in the same scene when the old guy stands up and talks incomprehensibly then is thanked by the Mayor (?) for allowing the children the chance to hear some "genuine frontier gibberish".

To be followed by:

What did you expect? "Welcome, sonny"? "Make yourself at home"? "Marry my daughter"? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons

My brother is ginger.

During the speeches at his wedding, his father-in-law and two brother-in-laws re-did the "N" word "sheriff scene" replacing it with the word ginger.

Excellent!
