Why would they use a fake one - I don't understand? Surely there'd even be one in the carpark, let alone just asking a local dealer to borrow one?
Granada TV should have just asked the City or United lads at Carrington training ground, I'm sure there would be one or two spare ones knocking around.......biggrin

I'd say it's real.
Fake F430's are probably harder to find than real ones...!

Guys, it's a real one, there's nothing wrong with it apart from the black wheels and body coloured front intakes, there is sound as it moves off, the sound is 100% genuine and i'm 100% sure of that. Also there's nothing wrong with the mirrors, if you're referring to the fact it doesn't say F430 on it that's because that's only on the drivers side door mirror.

OK I will give you that, what about the lack of a Fuel Cap on the corrie car?

Other things, missing Pininfarina badge, Lack of keyhole, Small Scuderia Shields, Small wing mirror, (fake) Brake Calipers/discs too large? Registration also seems to read CN51

SORRY!!!

I should have added that the picture I added has in fact been flipped, so it's a shot of the left hand side - which may account for the fuel cap and other items?

I would like to add that every sound you hear on the tele is added in, and they wouldn't be stupid enough to put the sound of a fake car in.

Hasn't anyone put the numberplate into the Meerkat site to see what it comes up as yet?

First result on GIS for 'Ferrari F430 replica'

Same car?

ETA: No as it has F430 on the wing mirror

No, body coloured front bumper intake surrounds on the Corrie one, and the wheels are not quite the same.

Maybe the screen ration just makes the Corrie car seem ill-proportioned?

Now you mention it the front doors of the houses look a bit thin. Perhaps the aspect ratio is slightly squashed to make people look thinner? hehe

The 430 fuel cap is on the passenger side, come on you lot biggrin the only thing wrong are the shields, they're probably just aftermarket and yes door lock is missing but that doesn't mean it's a faket, wing mirror is fine, brakes are fine, proportions are right, you can even see in one pic the interior looking right too.

ETA: just had another look on itvplayer, the door lock is actually there, the screen grab resolution is too low to show it.

Are the discs rotating? As the fake ones tend to have a round aluminum disc to complete the effect.
The real discs are way too small and too far back.
