I'd go for Game of Thrones and True Blood, very tame in both aspects.

On a serious note though, 24 is a very good call, as is The Wire, more so in fact.

What is she like with good old fashioned shooting/killing?

If ok, Band of Brothers is nigh on perfect.

The Wire? A handful of short sex scenes but that's it.

What about Boardwalk Empire?

Apart from the sex & sexual violence it ticks all your boxes.

Would it be worth watching the first series only then? And for a drama set in prison are you sure there's no OZ-style man-on-man American History X type scenes?
There wasn't that much in Oz from what I can remember. Plenty of violence (the basketball playing guard bit makes me wince) but I definitely didn't think there was any jiggy jiggy.

Lost is very good indeed but gets very strange towards the end. I've still not quite worked out what happened yet.

Just what I was thinking, The Pacific too. Best two TV series I've ever seen.

I've not seen many of the series mentioned so far, but I watched a few series of Lost, although it disintegrated into drivel by about series 2. The first series or two of Prison Break were good, but I lost interest part way through.

I'm sure adibisi has a couple of scenes. Then there's the dude from the Ayran gang. Both of them infact. It's been a while since I've seen oz but I could have sworn they have some heavy moments not just implied.

Great series though if only for the fact it's scared the pants off me ever committing a crime.

Just a film OP, but Irreversible ticks most of your boxes.

Isn't there some nudity in The Wire? Definitely remember going to fire it up on a flight once and thinking that I hoped this wasn't the episode with a fair bit of flesh in case they thought I was watching prawn. Turned out to be the episode where we saw McNulty's bare arse as he ruined some woman speadeagled across the car bonnet. Ooops.
