What exactly is wrong with today's society? Their tastes don't match yours?
Is the Rose Gold any more "bling" than some of the factory colours?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the rose gold but I think its laughable that people can make such stupid statements purely because someone has different tastes.
Not to argue too much on the Internet, but yeah, I think it is far more bling than a standard one. I don't like how the P1 looks at the best of times, but to badly wrap one just to make it more noticeable so they can show of their wealth isn't great TV and, in my view, a sad state of affairs. It becomes a giant handbag / wristwatch. If you are going to customise a car, at least do a good job on it. Is the Rose Gold any more "bling" than some of the factory colours?

The point is the programme is all about showing off and it turns cars into little more than fashion statements. I don't like that, as laughable as you may find it.
Besides, you contract yourself. My view that the rose gold ruins a car is stupid because I'm not respecting other's views? You should then respect my view for not liking it, meaning it's not stupid. Or should I respect your view that I'm stupid because you don't like my view that I don't like someone else's view? Or is that stupid?

1. That's just your opinion that it's more "blinged up than a standard one"The point is the programme is all about showing off and it turns cars into little more than fashion statements. I don't like that, as laughable as you may find it.

2. Rose Gold is just a colour, you can buy an Iphone or a FitBit in Rose Gold, is that showing off wealth too?
3. How on earth does wrapping a car turn it into an "accessory"?
4. Fashion Statement? Maybe the owner simply likes Rose Gold?
5. Your talking through your ass. How can temporarily changing the colour of a car ruin it? If you think wrapping a car ruins it then I fear your the one that looks at cars as "fashion statements" not the owner of the P1.
People have different tastes, get over it!!

Unfortunately (for you as you seem to like RG) Rose Gold has been claimed by those of less wealth as their flashy colour. If i saw a Rose Gold phone, i would think that the owner was either your stereotypical overweight lady in grey tracksuit and 'uggs' with the broken heels and tramp stamp proudly on displayor by the 'Instagram Models', who seem good to look at but also seem to be a bit light of brain matter.
Dont get me wrong, i love a bright coloured Super/Hyper Car but a chrome colouring is just abit st. Or maybe im just not trendy and cool?

Well this week we had the fake drama when Vasilly walked out over some petty argument. And bodged the awful red camouflage Merc with dodgy film. I'm not surprised bloke had the 220d badges left off......"Yes it's an AMG Innit"
Wasn't that Merc awful. It looked like bits of the wrap had randomly peeled off - dreadful design and colour choice. And the owner - silly boy.I agree. It's not a 'customising' show, it's a wrapping show where the viewer is not even taught how to wrap.
So what's in it for us, the viewer, not a lot.
Unless of course you enjoy watching brain-dead tasteless customers flaunting their wealth, ruining perfectly decent cars, hugging a lot and talking like black gangstas, of which they are not. Especially the white women from Hampstead.

Caught one of these last night, where they were wrapping a Ferrari in Nardo Grey. Customer can't decide if they like the result, so our hero posts a photo on social media and if his followers like it, the customer will keep the colour. Inside my head there is a voice saying "you chose it mate, you're paying whether you like grey or not". Phew, though, because Yianni's followers say it's great, albeit 5 weeks prior to them unveiling it according to the screen shots.
I find the programme grimly fascinating - it is an insight into a world I am aware of - wrapping - of which I have some indirect experience, of which more below.
It is also an insight into a world of which I have no experience at all - his clientele, and the culture that drives his business.
My indirect experience? The Beaujolais Run: one year it was sponsored by Falke, a German company who own the UK company who do the nice Argyl socks with the stud in them. Their head of design wanted to do the Run (bearing in mind it's in mid-November) in something "mad and British". Lotus came up trumps with a 2-Eleven, and not only that but arranged to have it wrapped in the signature Argyll pattern - looked stunning, Falke were delighted, it was photographed outside the Ritz etc - wrapping used for a specific purpose, and everyone who saw that car loved it and 'got' it.
I struggle with the Supercar Customiser on a number of levels. At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man (I am getting there), it's indicative of the shallowness of modern 'celebrity', coupled to the desire for instant satisfaction.
In a way, I grudgingly admire Yianni - he has clearly identified a niche, he understands and exploits social media. But Jesus - all the fist-grabbing-into-hug stuff is starting to sap my normally sunny demeanour, due to the apparently vacuous nature of his clients.
