What a stunning interval act.

But... WTAF was Rebecca wearing?

Seems a long time since the days of Europop - everything bing-bang, ding-dong inky-pinky. All songs identikit trying to please everyone.

Some of the songs tonight were so national identity (and thus don't have a chance.......)

Israeli girl was hot, and I quite liked the Leo Sayer tribute act from Azerbaijan.

Finland look pretty strong, not a fan of Sweden particularly. Moldova was entertaining.

Regardless of the quality of the entries, the sets, the directing and the TV production are excellent.
Well done BBC
Don’t think I agree!

Sound quality is very poor! Presenters and audience are fine but singer mics are a few db down.

Aleysa Dixon’s autocue was above the camera rather than inline. She’s looking above the camera. Looks odd!

Normally I don’t have access to a TV. But am staying in a town house for a few nights and tonight have enjoyed the delights of television for the first time in a while. Absolute trash that is Eurovision of all things. I’m now totally invested and LOVE Finland’s entry! Käärijä Cha Cha Cha for the win.

Actually not sure how I’m going to cope come
Saturday as I’m back to off grid living cry

Croatia's song was terrible. But also my favourite performance so far.
It did have a peculiar attraction.
Well they’re through.

Bit gutted for Ireland. Jedward were on a big campaign for supporters. Sent my eldest (an ‘influencer’ and known for being green) a lovely long voice message a while back. Not sure I can post it here but it was good fun.

Lorreen's wearing a surgical stocking.

I won't tell a lie, it's quite pleasant
It's, er, very close fitting.

Her song this year isn't a patch on Euphoria. Great vocals, though.

I made comment that I liked her outfit and nails. Very Jean Paul Gaultier.

Happy with that result. Plenty of the Eurovision wackiness through to the final.

I just saw a few clips on the news, it reminded me of the performances at the start of the Red bull soap box races..
Also is this now fully LBTQ or is that just the BBCs coverage?

I actually thought it was the most commercial of all 15 acts. A bit bland/generic but a typical 2023 chart song. Unfortunately Eurovision doesn't work that way. It has become almost a parody - what became of the sub-title "A song for Europe"? I can't see many people in Luxembourg singing along to that Croatian mess.

Pretty poor so far, first semi final was far more entertaining. Belgium has my vote.

Steve Irwin from Greece was a bit boring.
