Same, I’m not interested in the trains themselves more the concept of mass transit system and their history/ongoing development.

Also The B1M for mega infrastructure building projects

Revzilla for the daily rider and road trips. Haven’t ridden a motorbike in 35 years but it’s the sheer enthusiasm of Zack and Ari that makes the channel

I’ve been enjoying Peter Santanello’s vids on Appalachia and the Deep South, starting to watch those he’s done in other regions now.

I tend to jump topics quite a lot but have enjoyed mud larking, metal detecting, fishing, house roof cleaning, travel, self sufficiently, canal boats.

I’ve been a decade(ish) long watcher of Alec Steele. (About 2.5m subs)

Young blacksmith who started as a young lad, essentially self taught and has done some amazing projects. He moved to the US just before Covid but then moved back.

Not only super fun videos and content but also some highly detailed craftsmanship and engineering projects.

Exceptional camera / edits from his long time filmer and editor Jamie.

I don't think anyone has mentioned The Tim Traveller:

https://www.youtube.com/@TheTimTraveller

His videos are in a similar vein to the ones that Tom Scott used to do
(bizarre trivia, mainly geography/transport related), but he definitely
has his own style.

Yes, his are very good. Try also History Hit, Rob's London, Jago Hazzard, JOMW, Professor of Rock, Explaining Computers (worth it just for the host, Christopher Barnatt) Ben's Watch Club, Skill Builder and Charlie DIYite.

I always watch to the end for the piano bit (not 80s Wish you were here? With Judith Chalmers) but the bit before. Most recently We Are The Champions by Queen. Watching the video will make it make sense

On YouTube?

My current viewing includes Aquaholic - about boats and boating. Quite low-key/one man and his Go-Pro. A lovely mix of his boat and various yachts/boats of all sizes and prices.

Missionary Bush Pilot - I am not religious, but the fact that in Papua New Guinea folks still go on MIssionary missions to spread the 'Word of God' is slightly surreal - but it is him as a pilot, in PNG, with their weather/mountains and varying degrees of runway - plus his professional videos that make it fascinating watching for me.

Any other good channels that stray from car purchases/rebuilds/look at me and my flash motor?
I mean who could not enjoy Nick, Maggie, The mirror wave and his use of little ship stuff whenever he is on a Nordhavn.
