I think he says' 'adopted brother', it's the speed and delivery of the line that gets the joke, and I agree that Thor was much much better in this film than the last one.
So many funny lines, 'Does thou mother knoweth you wear her drapes?'
Don't know who directed the other films, but this one shows what a talented director can tease out of actors, also good editor etc.

What makes that scene perfect is Loki's expression at the end of it. He sells it very well.

My recollection was that he just simply said "he's adopted" in a sort of matter-of-fact, throwaway way. The intonation was just right and it wasn't dwelt upon - it was a 'blink and you missed it' line which, as you say, made it all the better. JonRB said:

Yes I think you are right.Makes me smile thinking about it now. Even Cap had a decent line in that chat I think.

This was epic. This IS epic. And what makes it even better, I was able to save the GIF and make it my desktop as an active GIF.
They really need to make another Hulk film with Ruffalo, he managed to capture the nerdy vulnerability of Dr Banner as well as the fury and power that is the Hulk perfectly. I am probably one of the few people who enjoyed the first 2 Hulk movies. They are by no means perfect, the first one especially being very poor in places but come on, it's THE HULK. More of Hulk smashing things\people and I'll be happy.

I love the way he pauses to admire his handywork, then decides a few more bashes are in order.

saw it last night, what a great film, still grinning about it now,as has been said already, the hulk moments are priceless, but the whole film was so good,id read a lot of reviews prior to going, but it surpassed my expectations.
joss whedon did a fantastic job getting the best from the cast, they all had their moment, very impressed.
heard that there was a mid credit & end credit scene, but there was only a mid credit one.

The end credit was in the USA only, and can be found on YouTube (and earlier in this thread?)
no dialogue, just shows them eating dinner at the place Iron Man wanted to go to
I find this quite funny actually. It's the looks on their faces, especially Thor no dialogue, just shows them eating dinner at the place Iron Man wanted to go to

Just a bit of fun. I'm five foot nine and a half.
