Banshee - Sky Atlantic
Discussion
Echo what has been said, gutted to see it go. But I'm sure it'll be firmly in the watch again category for plenty of people. I seriously doubt there will be another series like it.
Series 3 was probably my favorite, so much happens that series and has an excellent last episode. The Job/Sugar dynamic was excellent also.

yup - that's it no more Banshee <sob sob> I'll miss all the characters but Job especially. That being said though I like how it was all wrapped up - sounds like Hood is off to shag Veronica, Brock is getting what he always wanted, Bunker killed his brother, Proctor went out guns blazing, Burton was a total bad-ass once more then turned out to be even more psychotic than we first thought

I've been told that Preacher is a good replacement for Banshee? Anyone able to confirm or deny this?
I've only seen the first episode so far, couple of good fight scenes certainly but I'm not sure what the story is yet or what it's really about. At the end of the Banshee first episode, I knew what was happening and was hooked.BossHogg said:
Just watched the last episode, very poignant watching everyone go their separate ways.
Have loved this series from day one but that was a poor last 15 minutes of a finale. They rushed to get story lines complete and the set up was ridiculous for Bunker v Calvin [convenient], Hood v Burton [how did he know here they were and in a car that wasn't Proctor's], Brock suddenly realising Hood's approach was right, mushy feelgood goodbyes and a bike ride into the sunset.
Not dissimilar to how SoA ended in that respect.
....and yet, every major 'good' character survived this series.

I liked the ending. If you get to the series finale of the 4th season and you're still looking for realism in this show I think you've been watching the wrong show.
In fact some of it I loved. Job giving the money to Sugar and the whole "suck my tit" thing.

Who said a anything about realism. For that very reason , go out with a bang rather than a wimper.
Agree about Job though; his exit was appropriate.

Great series. Brilliant.
How does one download the box sets?
Not sure if it's anywhere else but if you've got sky it's on there in the box set section. How does one download the box sets?
Sad it's finished but guess it couldn't go on forever. Has lots of potential for various spin off's so I can keep my fingers crossed for those.
Watched the last 3 episodes last night. Only realised about the box sets thing about half way through watching weekly.
I thought it ended brilliantly. Handled really well, the flasbacks were good. Job's exit perfect.
Genuinely gutted for it to have ended what a ride!
I recall seeing the trailers for S1 and just knowing it would be my thing. 10 mins into Ep1 and I was hooked
I might even have to buy the BR Box Set, it's a keeper.
