Recently rediscovered Episodes, which has now appeared on Netflix. The gold-standard of cross-the-pond U.K./US comedy until Ted Lasso came along.

I think Trailer Park Boys is really good.

Generally excellent - gets going properly when Danny DeVito joins, and the last two series are a bit more of a miss, but there's a lot to laugh at inbetween!

Loved this programme. Thought the cast, writing, everything, was superb.

I loved TPB, especially Lahey, but I went to start again from S1 and it didn't seem nearly as good second time around frown

THE CONFESSION TAPES

Probably quite old and mentioned before. You will like it if you like true crime documentaries as it is about cases where confessions were obtained but questions over whether they were obtained fairly.

I know its a little biased in what it shows but I have finished each episodes a bit depressed and quite angry.

I started this again recently and actually found myself skipping the first season after a couple of episodes to get to the second and Danny DeVito joining! The first series is good, but DDV is a legend and is absolutely brilliant in this.

Even though the last series or two drop off slightly, for me it's one of my favourite TV shows and I think they've achieved a consistency not many other shows have achieved. On par with The Office for me in that regard.

Superstore - trust me it grows on you and I’m bereft I’ve caught up 99 episodes (!)

I tried that, expected it to be awful but I couldn’t stop watching when I was stuck home isolating.

For those of you who are already hooked, Season3 of Shtisel is now available. 2 episodes in so far, absolutely brilliant. The twist at the end of S3 E1 is heart breaking.

For those of you who aren't hooked, you've clearly not watched it. Shame, you're missing a real gem.
Just finished series 2.

I watched the first episode, was intrigued and got drawn in. Now rather obsessed with it.

Just beautifully written and acted. Certainly one of the best things I've seen on Netflix.

Sherpa

Docufilm about Sherpa’s as if you couldn’t guess.
Also covers the disaster in the Khumbu ice fall In some detail and the issues around that.

Although not being touted as such, it is very similar, if not the same documentary put out by Discovery a few years back.
if Everest (or Sherpa’s) are your thing it’s worth 90mins of your time.

Yep. Tense and gripping with some great action. Also makes an effort to show things from the Palestinian perspective too. Improved immeasurably by watching in original languages and subtitles rather than the horrendous English dubbing.

If you’ve ever watched The Shield, Doren struck me as very much an “Israeli MacKey”...

The Method

This is a bit of Russian Noir... it’s reasonably entertaining, not too grisly.
Centres round Meglin a maverick drug addict homocide detective, with obligatory characterful car..in this case a blue Mercedes W123 240D.
He has ‘a method’ to solving crimes and dishing out justice.
His apprentice is the luscious and lithe Paulina Andreeva.

I loved Fauda, but a loose cannon like Doren wouldn't last a week in that organisation.

Not a true story, but inspired by one. Russian espionage surrounding the creation of the atomic bomb.

7/10.
Enjoyed it too and coincidentally it's on tonight at 22:00 on BBC 2
