I’ve really looked forward to seeing the tests of the Emira come out.

It is the first car in a long time that I’d think about swapping from the 987 Boxster Spyder.

Lovely seeing a bit about the sport and touring differences. That spoke volumes.

V6, manual, blue tempting, but I think yellow with black packs and definitely in touring spec would be my spec choice for now.

Not interested in track performance, road is where it is relevant. What percentage of owners actually track any make and model of car? Even bog standard family saloons get rated on how ‘sporty’ they are these days. Bit of a low ball from Evo comparing standard Emira with GT4.

I dearly loved my Elise S2. Bog standard, 118bhp. Washed out with understeer and short on grunt on the track (only time I did track stuff at the ‘ring and Bugatti circuit).. still great fun managing the handling, however on road it is one of the greatest cars I’ve ever driven.

Same, yellow with black roof.

I see the hairpin company have an elan suspiciously similar to Harry’s “coming soon” which they have carefully photographed to not show the plates.

Elan making way for the Emira?

I would be surprised if Harry let his Elan go, as he's had it for years and iirc used to hillclimb race it, so has sentimental value too. Oh, and our 'Arry's a sentimental sort smile

Lotus look like they're onto a winner with the Emira.

Watched Harry and was pleasantly surprised by the Emira as I've never personally desired a Lotus other than nostalgia for the Esprit from TSWLM. Touring spec defo where it would be for me. Great video.

It is not Harry's, he has replied and said it is a good car but not his.

I want an Emira even more now after that review!

Love Harry's enthusiasm, the best reviewer by a country mile for me.

Wish I had an Emira on order and not the Corvette C8... cracking review, looks like a great job by Lotus.

Would you move your Mclaren on for an Emira? I don't think I would smile

So harry spec on the emira speculation

Green paint

V6 manual touring pack

Wheels then taken to a independent to get painted gold

Tan or black leather though ?

I’m probably wrong on all counts

Harry did a video all about spec and ordering of the Emira - Nimbus Grey I believe.

I am really glad Harry got to include the Tour Pack as well as sport and I suspect it has saved a lot of people buying the "wrong" spec. Many owners would naturally buy a Lotus and tick the sport suspension...seems logical.

It does make you wonder if the spring rates are so close why you couldn't have a simple click on the dampers to firm them up for the odd track day? It doesn't need to be an active damper.

I would defo buy in Touring not sport.

Given his video came out yesterday and there's already a two year waiting list, I doubt it's saved anyone from buying the "wrong" spec.

No, but I would move the Mustang on and daily the Emira, and then keep the 570 for special drives.

Maybe they should name Road or Track spec rather than Touring and Sport....

What about anyone that orders from today onwards? AND I bet you could phone up and change that order if the wait is that long, it is not unusual for the spec to be changed as you go. Some would have the means to also add another order for the right spec and hope they can sell the wrongun within the waiting list.

Yes, that would make it a lot more accurate.
