If you've got kids then "The Mitchells vs the Machines" is really good. Animated family film about AI/social media etc. taking over the world. Lots of references to other sci fi and fantasy films. Lovely animation style. Olivia Coleman voices an Siri/Alexa type app that turns evil.

The Spy

If not already mentioned. Sasha Baron Cohen in a serious role based on the life of Israel's top Mossad spy Eli Cohen recruited and sent to Syria. Based on true story

Six-episode miniseries

9/10

Yes this is very good indeed. I'm used to him doing comedic roles but he's well suited to this more serious drama.

Really good series, much better than the similar cumberbach Courier (which wasn't bad).

What do you think of Black Mirror as the trailer for the latest season looks like it may be worth a watch.
I binged watched it recently. Overall very good. I'm an IT business partner so from a work perspective interesting to see the potential future of technology. Some real gem episodes, some I found myself skipping through but if you like dark twist type stories it's a must. I liked the way the same tech was a theme throughout, and some episodes referenced others, though they are all separate stories.

I watched The Sons of Sam documentary. It was quite interesting but I don't believe Maury Terry's theories for a second (or anything a murderer like David Berkowitz says). It was really more a tale of his obsession with the case.

Finished both seasons of Making a Murderer - we were glued to it way more than any fiction crime drama - it's a truly eye-opening series.

It is amazing that the story is still going - Google search shows that new evidence is being presented to the State courts as recently as April this year - the State's response? File charges AGAINST Kathleen Zellner (well, Avery), accusing him of wasting the court's time by presenting new evidence! https://static1.squarespace.com/static/55203379e4b...

"..it is reasonable to assume Mr Avery is not pursuing these claims in good faith.."

The haunting of Bly Manor.

New interpretation of The Turn of the Screw

Well written, well acted and just different enough from the original short story to make it captivating.

Not really. All 13 episodes just seem to be setting up S4.

Jupiter's Legacy is out today, another take on the superhero genre. Really looking foward to this, just need to finish Shadow & Bone first.

We're working our way through it at the moment and totally agree with you about the Maury Terry stuff, some of it was reaching so far to make it fit it was hilarious.

I was really looking forward to this but am, at the moment, a bit, meh.

Probably enough of these things out there by now. Will need to be exceptional to better The Boys or Watchmen, the trailer doesn't look too promising... .

Jupiters Legacy, I’m 3 in and it’s pretty good. As is standard with this type of adult superhero stuff it’s more shades of grey in the goodie/baddie arc. As much about families, legacy and the rules as hitting bad guys. More umbrella academy than the boys.
I’m actually watching it rather than messing with the iPad at the same time which is positive.
Worth watching.
