I just watched the first Pirates of the Caribbean film. The Curse of the Black Pearl. Now that is a film that really does have everything you could want in a film. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me very much off Sid Meier's Pirates! computer game.
Don't bother with the sequelsAlex said:

Eastwood is a master of letting the audience work our for itself what has really happened.
Unforgiven is the same.
Unforgiven is his masterpiece and in my all-time top ten.Unforgiven is the same.

Coherence. Sc-Fi / quantum theory thing based around a comet, a dinner party and the idea of alternate realities. Nicely played and a good twist at the end - enjoyed it
Excellent movie!!If you liked Coherence give Another Earth a try. Really freaky!

Got coherence and pandorum lined up plus cargo a German sci fi film
Cargo is OKish.Coherence I wasn't a fan of the execution but it was an interesting idea, but not as coherent (no pun intended) as say Timecrimes which is a similar idea better executed.
Pandorum is my favourite of those three. The start and end are great sci-fi, with some horror/action elements in the mid-section.
If you're a fan of sci-fi then all are worth a watch though!

I really enjoyed that. Not what I was expecting. Nice suspense throughout kept me guessing as to if one if or both or none of were imagining it all.]
When it started it reminded me of the cube. Some people trapped somewhere,no one knows why etc..
All I would say is
it didn't need ninja biologist chicks and ninja Eskimos and it didn't need the super monsters/ evolution story. Could have just been random crew members all with pandorum they had to fight through, it's almost as if the studio decided it needed monsters to sell tickets.
Still enjoyed it anyway.
Sicario
I went into this not knowing much about it other than being based around Mexico/USA border, and the Police/DEA. I had seen the posters and the trailer, for whatever reason, I was expecting it to be an action film. It isn't, its slower, and more along the lines of The Hurt Locker or Zero Dark Thirty. It was a good film, but don't go expecting the big bangs and the shooting each other and the explosions. It's not a brain out popcorn film.

That is what I was harkening to with my mentioning that the start and finish are different to the middle part which is more of an action/horror film.
Not quite 'from Dusk till Dawn' in terms of genre change but, as you say, slightly out of place.
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.
Don't normally watch this sort of stuff but was pleasantly surprised. Best IMF movie so far and noticeably better than any recent Bond films. Stunts and action sequences had an original edge you don't get with tired conventional fodder. During the superbly photographed sportsbike chase through the Atlas foothills the riders were shown actually getting their knees down and aerial shots conveyed a real sense of speed. It's an impressive set piece.
Good. 7.5/10
