fking HiHi advert, customer phones up, we’ve got a problem with the wiring, can you come out? HiHi pleb, sorry no can do, the reality, hold on while I just get my legal dept involved, your support contract includes onsite. punch that along with there’s probably a wire missing, just extend it, causes my head to explode every time I hear it. rage
Already been featured here but it's so awful that it deserves a second mention!! Total garbage product that belongs in 2005 and moronic script "oh wow boss I'd never have thought of extending the wire!!".

Anyone else dislike clearly European adverts that are shown here? As if they’re British. Tend to be things like cleaning products eg Jif etc, or kinder surprise type ads. I don’t want to see some fake house with bland smiling mum cleaning. They always have windows win the house with no genuine view etc a bit like those fake car background ads some car sellers use
Similar process to most of the car ads i guess. One generic advert that's easily dubbed / edited for various advertising markets.

VW with the Tiguan advert with the CGI'd on UK plate and images flipped for driving on the left, even though in one scene the steering wheel / driver is still on the left too, plus some dubbing and background scenery that isn't the UK.

Kia did it previously with the Sportage a couple of years ago - background & main house featured in that was clearly produced in the Australian market.

Mini currently at it with the new ad for the E-Mini. UK plates edited in, then a couple of very clear messages along the bottom of the advert, whilst the people are in the car having fun, that the entire interior trim featured including some hi-spec items & tech is not in any way available in the UK market and cannot be special ordered hehe

I'm becoming increasingly bored and frustrated in equal measure by the silly tart who keeps crashing her car into pet shops.

She must be stopped. There won't be a pet shop left in the land soon.

Random Facebook adverts, which are for stuff from China but filmed in the West.

The company name is always something like "Happysmile", "Rainytrends" or "Pigfister".

The advert, filmed somewhere in the US and played at just slightly too fast frame rate per second, shows some moderately fit girl demonstrating the product. Said product is typically super whitening toothpowder, megasticky tape, cat harness or everlasting gobstopper. I especially like drill mounted cutting blades that are clearly lethal to operate.

and they never tell you it will take most of 2021 to get to your house, if arrives at all.

I wish they'd dub American ads, no need to dub the men, they're fine, just the women, they really grate.

Though it is a white guy telling a black guy what to do so it steers clear of woke accusations. whistle

Think its advertising their maternity sportswear for women range.

Guessing pregnant women still work out, do sports etc

Another couple with brand slogans / terms.

Natwest "tomorrow begins today" mainly because of how often it's being crammed in during ad breaks.

Barclays - now referring to their staff as "money mentors".

Not so much annoying as shocking that Citroen's new ads use the insanely ugly Citroen Ami in a desperate bid to make the new droopy-faced C4 look attractive.

It's really the new Pontiac Aztek.

Microsoft Teams and Hasbro / Monopoly
This just makes me think what a complete bunch of wasters who do not bother to do international and cultural studies on their products until Teams arrive. Complete fking nonsense.

My thoughts on that were what could possibly go wrong allowing Teams to translate between English and Chinese laugh especially if your designing and manufacturing something.

Makes you wonder how Monopoly became so popular, all around the world (I think) prior to the internet, never mind Teams.

Jon’s ‘laid-back’ Easter lamb for Tesco

But apart from that its a reminder that its the same ad from last year. Which in turn is a reminder of just how long the lockdowns/tiers/etc have been going on for

I do not understand the ads about encouraging people to fill in the census. There is no mention of it being a legal requirement with a potential for a 1000 pound fine.

Why the softly softly celebs "Im doing it so should you"

It just reinforces the "It would be nice to do" not a legal requirement

i suspect the original German advert had 3 people , but to save on costs the english version had 2 , so makes it sound utterly stupid.
