Just finished it as well. It was good and makes me glad I'm not a teen in an American high school. The story towards the end is probably quite accurate especially with the recent events in the news.

Been watching a program called Orphan Black. I picked it because it had 5 seasons but the reviews seem good too. I was dubious for a bit on how it got good reviews but after I'm over the initial shock of the style it's got a great story.

Yeah this was good. Some comical errors in it though, the main being when

the tv crew come in to confirm a body and you can see the dead person breathing biggrin

Very good though.

Just finished Somebody Feed Phil; a series starring Phil Rosenthal, don't know who he is, I guess an american comedian of sorts.

Anyway; Phil, he goes around various countries, sampling their local food and hidden gem restaurants, as I love my food, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There are loads of other great food shows on Netflix too; Ugly Delicious being another.

Designated Survivor - starts interesting but soon descends into ludicrous seen before rubbish.
Don’t even bother contemplating continuing. It’s garbage after the initial fairly interesting idea.
I read this and thought - well i'm quite a way through so I might just go to the end of the series to see how it ends...
I'm 8 1/2 episodes in - its 21 episodes long!
Binned.
It's so bad it's unmissable. Up to Ep 3 of S2 and it just heaps ordure onto ordure in weak plots, hammy acting, cheap CGI and thoroughly nicey-nicey Mr. Prez. Vomit inducing. And all the really bad baddies are succesful businessmen (except the Prez's old friend who makes electric cars - wonder who they modelled that character on...?). Or British. Or both.

I stopped after a few episodes, main reason was the rather unattractive anorexic woman who seems to be able to do amazing martial arts stuff in her platform heels as well as being very clever, determined and afraid of nothing.

When they repeated the exact same scene but with two different 'victims' in season 1 and season 2 I totally lost it. I could live with the overacting during the first season but I properly lost my rag at that point in the second season; it's just lazy screenwriting. I've never had such a strong reaction to a programme before but I felt like I was being totally mugged off as a viewer.

I'm sure it has been mentioned on here before, but, I'm 8 episodes into Hitler's Circle of Evil and so far its brilliant. Might try and get it finished tonight.

Anyone recommend any other WW2 docs on Netflix?
Hitler's Circle of Evil

I think I'm upto about episode 8 now too... and I've stopped watching the episodes 'back to back' - (obviously) Its pretty uneasy viewing.

Worthwhile watching though, even if you are familiar with the details.

Lazy I know, but any quick recommendations on a decent thriller to watch tonight for myself the Mrs, our boy and his girl, (both early 20’s)

True Story, crime type dramas are our faves, tia.

Manhunt: Unabomber is well worth watching, chucked it on over the weekend and I was hooked.

I was a little kid when it happened so didn't know much about it. The 8 ep series is about 80% accurate apparently, which isn't bad going for a dramatisation.
Cheers for the recommendation - same here, I knew the name but none of the facts.

Really like the way that plot played out.

Nearly finished The Sinner (watched penultimate episode last night) and highly recommended as per everyone else.

It is seriously f*cked up though!

White Gold - Good comedy series starring Jay and Simon from The Inbetweeners, based on a double glazing showroom in 1983 and the scams they get up to - really funny in places, and a great soundtrack

Yes very funny, it was originally aired last year I think on one of the terrestrial channels.

I've just signed up to a free month of Netflix.
At 1st glance it appears to be mostly already aired tv shows, old films with the occasional recent film and a few of their own productions ?
Is that a good summary ?
