Couldn’t spot it further up, but just been announced in the one show that top gear is moving to bbc 1. No mention of day or time slot change.

I think it's been mentioned earlier, but probably many pages ago. Paddy mentioned it on the One Show last night, already being filmed.

They were filming today near Ribblehead with an F40, XJ220 and Diablo. It didn't end well for the Diablo.

Hopefully they got the rear tyre sorted before filming.

I doubt it! They are mega wide and very expensive I'd imagine!

Great roads, great scenery, and closer than Scotland?

Strange turn of phrase in the article: he had medical checks, but "remained unhurt" - I have visions of the rest of the statement reading "so we took him behind a nearby rocky outcrop for a shoeing".

I know that it is only a car, but I feel sad to see this Diablo in this state. I bet the owner is livid and I know I would be.

The owner should have know the risks before lending it to Top Gear, it’s not as if they are known for being gentle with cars. I’m sure there’s lots of insurance.

Yes and that is true. I guess my OCD is just coming into play, and cars are never the same again once they've been repaired and repainted for me.

well the programme makers probably just self-underwrite it. It will be difficult to get insurance for most of the things they get up to.

That’s (was) a really nice car. Just like the one in Dumb and Dumber, if memory serves. Still, it’ll make an excellent bit of TV. biggrin
