Agree - there was something about the camera this week, the way it panned in and out of focus that was deeply unpleasant.

No handshakes at all so far this series. I think he overdid things last series and regrets.

Nice bunch of contestants this year, although does anyone else think that the quality/skill of baker has slipped a bit?

The past few years the bar has been raised every year, but this current batch don't seem to be as up there technically as has come to be expected.

That isn't to say they aren't talented, just an observation... usually there are 2 or 3 who shine out right from the start, but this feels like a very middling but level playing field.

Also, is the editing of this getting more and more obvious as to who's going to go? I haven't seen last night's episode yet, however from the first two it was clear who was going to be on their way.

I do wonder - I've managed to call out the exit-ee correctly very early on in the past 3 episodes...

Hard to tell at the moment. I think other than the 1st episode it was pretty clear who'd be going (no amount of editing could hide the disaster in week 2 hehe)

I presume it was how it was edited, but I don't think the right person went out based on last night's performance... Ice cream in an hour? Not happening...

Also - I think the dairy challenge was akin to the Naan bread challenge. I just don't think it worked.

I thought the same - the previous week's they telegraphed the person getting sent home from the beginning in the edit, this week they did the opposite.

Also agree on the dairy thing - the first two challenges were fine, but the showstopper was a bit flat. Seemed a bit pointless to give them a challenge that was just "stir this milk for ages"

They've done similar before. Someone who is up and down between good and messing up will stay over someone who is average at everything.

Awkward moment between Alice & Sandi last night. The marriage thing.
Not sure Sandi particularly likes her.

Trucker Phil shouldn't have gone last night, at least he made something vaguely edible for the technical, unlike Priya

Some of the decision making has been a little dodgy this series already, plus I agree with dairy week being an odd choice

Agreed with the sentiment maybe it's stty editing or just a bum decision but last night felt wrong to me. Priya should have been an automatic goner after technical. She was beyond bad.

It was almost like she couldn't be bothered, her organisation was appalling.

Phil got fked, he looked properly shocked too so I don't think it was misleading editing!
