War Dogs. Thoroughly enjoyable and of the same ilk as Lord of War. I myself preferred Lord of War.

I'm partway through watching the bucket of rancid monkey glop that is "Need For Speed" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2369135/ ). I can't remember watching a film that makes the Fast & Furious series seem well acted and believable. Utter, utter bilge (I do love that Mustang though). Score? The only donkey in the corral

I wouldn't bother finishing it to be honest.

But talking of Michael Keaton - I just finished Spotlight.
Damn that was good.
8.5/10

Hiya! How family friendly is Arrival? My son (10) is an avid sci-fi fan, and we watched all MCU films, films like Edge of Tomorrow, Interstellar etc. Thanks!
Totally family friendly, but the themes are quite adult emotionally so he might find it a bit boring.
As above. Very family friendly, but he might not understand what's going on and it's not your usual sci-fi. I expect he'll get bored also.
We watched it together, and loved it. Thanks for the advice. He described it as emotional.

Beneath , pretty good claustaphobic mineshaft horror. Sort of a underground Event Horizon .

Miss Peregrine's School for Peculiar Children. Thoroughly enjoyable film (there were a few gaping plot holes but that aside), engaging story and some pretty cool SFX (really enjoyed the skeleton fight)

Independence Day - Resurgence. Way over the top with CGI's. A fifteen-mile wide spaceship lands in Africa and drills a great big hole in the crust. And nobody, apart from a local warlord knows about it until twenty years later.

Hmmm. scratchchin

Star Wars 7.

I'm not a massive star wars fan, I watched half of ep1. And neither of 2 and 3. And watched 4,5,6 when I was a kid.

But I enjoyed it anyway. 8.5 / 10

Girl is a great lead (and easy on the eye biggrin ). The British storm trooper guy will go onto a great career too I imagine.

Fantastic Beasts... a wonderfully crafted family film with some stunning effects (particularly liked the 'speakeasy' scene) shows that the Potterverse is still capable of churning out box-office magic
