The Bruce Lee scene had me rolling
The Bruce Lee scene is very controversial and doesn't seem based on anything the real life person actually did.

Perhaps filmmakers should be more respectful when depicting real people, particularly those who are an icon to many.
Blimey!

It's an entertaining film, hardly a serious depiction of history smile

I thought this QT instalment rather tame and average generally (I loved Django although the violence is extreme, as is the subject matter). I expecting some real gore but the Bruce Lee scuffle with Cliff was as bad as it got. Also forgot that Luke Perry was in this movie, very sad what happened to him. DiCaprio put on his usual high quality performance-i really do think he is the finest actor of his generation.
You must have forgotten the final scene then!

I dont rate this film at all, it's dull.
I did come away wondering if I missed something.

It's not a documentary you know.
I'm a huge Bruce fan, but it's just entertainment. BL comes across as a bit full of himself, but one of his own beliefs was in an individual's humility so I don't think he would have minded some creative storytelling involving him.
According to QT, his research showed that is how Lee was on set (very confident/arrogant). As you say, it's just a movie

Ffs, I thought this was a film from your description. Now I'm stuck seeing it out, on episode 22 of 35. furious
Ha! Sorry. The Chinese series do seem to go on forever. When I got to where you are I think I started fast forwarding on some of the sub plots. Main plot has satisfying conclusion.
I'm enjoying it a lot but ffs, there are some staggering coincidental meetings. 28m people live in Shanghai, that's about 4 times as many as London, but Ruoxin has an argument with Qi outside the fruit shop a few hours before he turns up for an interview she is conducting, Qi just happens to be riding his motorbike past Ruoxin's mum when she gets run over, the 2 mums end up going on holiday together not knowing their kids even know each other, let alone have fallen in love with each other.

It's completely preposterous.

Anyway, episode 28 beckons rofl

A Classic Horror Story - 2021
Italian made horror film about a bunch of strangers who decide to car share to get to their destinations.
While driving at night they have an accident as the driver attempts to avoid a dead deer in the road.

Upon waking they find the van they were in, has been magically transported into the middle of the woods outside a creepy house, things then start to get bad for them.

First half of this film is pretty decent and keeps it intriguing and watchable, the second half just turns daft.

It's like a few horror films strewn together to try and come out with something original however the second half let's it down.

5.5/10

Yep. The coincidences are nuts. If it were shot in Auckland/NZ it would be much more believable. Still, US films no better. Took my daughter to see Black Widow this week (it was okay no more). Had my daughter laughing at least at one point due to the sheer ridiculousness (which is good going considering how absurd the concept is) - Natasha has to skydive off a flying platform at one point to save someone and handily, just as she runs towards the edge there just happens to be a backpack/parachute for her to pick up!

And how come they are all so slim and beautiful. All the ever do is fking stuff their faces with high fat food. Ruoxin should be moving around in a mobility scooter with the amount of crap she consumes. She must eat 10k calories a day.

I didn't mind this, it really is a film of 2 halves.
Yeah the accents and language in the first half was iffy.
Were penises referred to as members in the 1600's

I think the good thing was that all 3 films were released over 3 weeks so the overall story was fresh in my head which might not have been the case if they were released over a few years instead and I'd have probably not have cared what happens as much.

Overall the whole story/conclusion and 3 films together were decent and better than a lot of things Netflix puts out horrorwise.

I'd give the 3 films a high 6 out of 10 overall, part 2 was probably the best.

So true. I did wonder where she was packing it all.

PC doesn’t seem to have reached China. Was watching some other series and some have had overweight characters. Generally they get referred to as fat / bullied for being fat.

They certainly don’t pussyfoot around such things in Asia:

Found a documentary about Joe Strummer last night, titled The Future is unwritten....

Really, really enjoyed it, somemvery big names talkig about how Joe and The clash influnced them.

Clearly a biopic, but as I enjoy reading Biogs anyway, I found a good watch.

Could You Survive?

Interesting program following what seems to be unprepared Americans into situations they could have avoided. Of course the Survival expert is called 'Creek Stewart' because no survival expert in the history of survival experts has even been called Gerald.

Reassuringly, should I ever find myself stuck up a mountain I now know how to make a knife from a nail....

I love tarantino, and have seen all his films multiple times, but couldn't make it through a single viewing. I'll give benefit of doubt, and presume something is lost in translation with the cultural setting, but didn't work for me at all.
I loved Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It is slow at times, and does veer off, but that's classic Tarantino. It's quite possibly one of my favourite films of the last decade.
