Just downloaded and watched the first new one, seems okay, and the characters make it more interesting than the plot to me.
Was that from Netflix, or is there somewhere else? I am starting to miss it.King Herald said:
I'm beginning to hate that in all series and movies: the ability of people to make split second, fast, quippy, witty, accurate, detailed, long, accurate, word-perfect sentences and responses without the slightest pause or mistake. Again and again.....nothing like normal conversation in the slightest.
TV programme in 'nothing like real life' shocker. I can't help but think you're missing the point though. Its a TV programme that glamourises the Law profession. Everyone is meant to talk and look slick, it's what makes the show. I don't want to watch someone uhm-ing and ah-ing their way through a sentence, or spend ages poring over something before responding. I want to see Harvey give Louis a (well worded and succint) dressing down for saying/doing something stupid, for example.
The same goes for any TV drama. If you want realism, watch a documentary. This isn't a personal attack by the way, it's just my opinion.

They are actually meant to represent a plausible real life world, to a certain degree.

It is supposed to represent the real world, but it is also to gloss over the more boring aspects of life. When you talk about beginning to hate "the ability of people to make split second, fast, quippy, witty, accurate, detailed, long, accurate, word-perfect sentences and responses without the slightest pause or mistake, to use Suits as an example, I doubt it would attract as many viewers if Harvey bumbled his way through every argument, or if Donna stuttered when delivering a barbed retort to someone. It's fast paced and better for it. All it requires is a little suspension of belief on the viewer part. Of course most conversations aren't anywhere near as quick and as detailed as what's shown on TV, but that's kind of the point.
Again, the same goes for any TV show, not just Suits.

I didn't, I got the point you were making, but I made the point about Suits as it is the appropriate thread for it. I suppose I could have worded it a little more clearly, instead of leaving it to the end to say "the same goes for any TV drama".

Well, apologies for rendering an opinion that differs from your own. Not much else to say really, is there? It is supposed to represent the real world, but it is also to gloss over the more boring aspects of life. Yeah that's not quite right Last episode was 10 ("Donna") in September. It even shows e11 as being 2018, the goes back to 2017 for e12 !
It's also confirmed that Markle and Adams (Mike) won't be back for S8, although everyone else has apparently signed on. They should have just ended it - I was big fan but the last few seasons have been pretty poor.

Gotta agree with this. Big fan from day one, but it's turned into a lot of angry people shouting at each other every episode then making up all the time. It's also confirmed that Markle and Adams (Mike) won't be back for S8, although everyone else has apparently signed on. Lewis hasn't been Litt up for ages. He was a real breakout character but he's just a moody sod all the time now and absolutely no fun to watch
Mike and Rachel leaving won't kill it for me. I've never been a Rachel fan (Donna every day! ) and I'm sick of Mr Angry Mike with his huge chip on his shoulder, but they need to get Harvey, Donna and Lewis back to there best otherwise it'll be another another Tv show that just went on too long.
Fingers crossed they can get it back on track.
