it’s sCould anyone help me with this financial services advert, I think it would have been in the 90s or early 00s
It's a voiceover of a scene in a nice resort.
An American investment banker is one the beach of a small coastal Mexican village when he sees a Mexican fisherman with a small boat.
The American asks why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican says he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs.
The American then asks, “but what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman says, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas, live life easy."
The American scoffs. “I can help you. You should spend more time fishing, and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, and eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. ”
The fisherman asks then what?
The American says, “Then you could retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you could sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, live life easy.”
The last scene is the fisherman smiling shaking his head at the camera
It was a great ad, but I've spent hours on YouTube and Google looking for it, to no avail.

VW Australia advert for the Amarok V6 pickup. It shows them having to replace the scenes that show dangerous or unsafe events with pushing toy cars along, because the advertising standards board won't allow fast, dangerous or unsafe driving on an advert. It won advert of the month, people thought it was great. It got banned by the advertising standards board, for inferring fast, dangerous and unsafe driving
