To be fair his showstopper was fairly simplistic, even if he had stayed I think his time was limited. I was expecting 2 to go this week. Priya should have gone on the basis of the technical alone, at least in the past when people haven't had a clue what to do they still made an effort, it looked like she really couldn't be bothered with that one.

Priya had a bad week, Phil just wasn't great overall I think it could have gone either way

I suspect Phils a very good baker but so much of it is on presentation as well and I think he's just a level below everyone else on that

I'm pretty sure he said that, that type of task was out of his comfort zone and presentation wasn't his strong point; you clearly have to have an artistic eye for this and he clearly doesn't.

He certainly mentioned the indian sweets being well outside but I think he just lacks the finesse needed for the show, I couldnt see Phil knocking up a stunning Opera cake, just seems a bit hamfisted

I can bake and I can cook - to a pretty good standard - but there's no way I could put together a showstopper as I just don't have that artistic flair...

My personal view is that they have always taken previous weeks into account and favoured the less consistent person with more potential. If they don't, I think they should do.

I was genuinely surprised this time because the result didn't seem to match the comments shortly before.

Had the misfortune to be in the room when this was on tonight. Feel my original comment that this series too many of the contestants are not true died in the wool bakers, but opportunists jumping on something to further a social media career. How can you enter a vaking competition and not know how to make choux pastry, FFS even I know how to make choux pastry, and compared to my Mrs for example my baking is as good as she coukd do with just using her left foot.

As a previous poster said, just GTFO, and the when you have fecked off, then feck off again. Useless bell ends.

I was surprised as I thought the woman (whos name escapes me) that thought she was going out was going out - She seemed to be the worst of them this week. But again, is it the editing?

The two that went out, I reckon they were going out soon enough - the halloween thing was getting pretty old...

I think that a large part of it must come down to editing. They need a bit of drama and some pithy comments from the judges but that doesn't necessarily present a fair summary of what actually happened.

This series really seems to be missing something, it's just a bit boring. Maybe it's had it's time and either needs a bit of a shakeup or shelving for a couple of years.
