I too thought there might have been more as when they ran the footage at the start to show what was coming up (later in the program or series?) I'm sure i seen footage of them driving the new Focus RS500. Might be wrong though, i was a bit tipsy by then!

Any idea when the middle east special is being repeated? I see they have already re-shown the US part on BBC3.
I will answer my own question with this

You're wasting your breath heebee, no idea if they don't get it or don't want to get it, for sure they are not readiing and comprehending what you are saying with any degree of intelligence and are now making themselves appear silly imo.

PH succumbs to the Playstation generation, it must be a generational thing, I'm in heebee's corner, the TG programme balance needs a slight tweak in the direction indicated, and if that makes me a snob then guilty as charged.
What is it with you pair and climbing on your arrogant high horses, rather than addressing the points I'm making?

I understand perfectly what you want. However, I am saying, by way of retort, that its enormous commercial success would suggest that it doesn't need any "tweaks".
Judging by your posts I'd say that a) you clearly do not understand the points that are being made, and that b) you are the one being arrogant and on a high horse simply by the tone of your posts and that you are right above all else.

Judging by the number of posts comparing adversely the journey to Bethlehem episode with, say, the Vietnam episode that the minor tweaks being suggested would not harm the TG brand in the slightest.

Of course that is just my opinion, and equally valid as any other opinion, and not one from any high horse, though why you seem to think such opinion is claiming to be intellectually superior is a mystery to me.
Exactly. Something like the headgasket getting changed could potentially have been made quite entertaining. Showing all the rushing about, hearing the local workers shouting instructions at each other in arabic or whatever and seeing the general hubbub of activity and the complete contrast to how the same job would be done in the UK would be both entertaining and interesting.

No-one is suggesting they show a step by step account of how the headgasket was changed.

Iraqis strike me as a pretty laid back bunch of people.
I really can't imagine them running around to do a head gasket change.

Maybe not running around, but there would definitely be lots of shouting and arm waving (especially with the added creative license)

Who is the (American) Stig? Although I doubt I'll have heard of him.

I'm really warming the the US version.
