Netflix - What gems have you found?
Discussion
As well as The Defiant Ones, there's a good doc on A Tribe Called Quest. Again lots of background about the musical scene at that time. (Rip Phife)
Wind River
Shades of Tom Horn which is unsurprising as Jeremy Renner is a McQueen fan.
Good film though. Quite slow paced at first and it let's you work stuff out and pick up on what your seeing rather than spoon feeding you which is a refreshing change.

Israeli TV series about an undercover ISF unit hunting for a Hamas terrorist, completely gripping and does not appear to be biased towards Israel or Palestine. Plenty of action, shoot outs etc so probably worth avoiding if you prefer something slower and not so brutal
Fantastic series thanks. I’m half way through S2 already!! - Make sure its set to Hebrew with subtitles, mine defaulted to something else and the dubbing was awful

When are we expecting season 3 of The Expanse to be released in the UK. I started watching it with no great expectations but I ended up really enjoying it.
I have nothing else that takes my fancy on Netflix at the moment having watched a few series recently including;
Lost in Space, good.
The Punisher, brilliant and very dark for Marvel, probably the best series I have seen in ages. I have not watched any other Netflix Marvel series.
Altered Carbon, again very good.
I like Sci Fi

Made the mistake of watching the trailer on youtube for Calibre and now pretty much know what happens, I turned it off midway through but its still basically ruined it for me, I should have known not to watch it... ![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
Does look good though so I will likely watch it anyway even though I know what will happen!

Latest series of last chance U is available.
Moved to a new school.
Must say the head coach doesnt come across very well
I'm about halfway through, I thought his rant at the QB coach was just unacceptable. Bearing in mind he also works for free, which I found staggering anyway. Between him and Buddy Stephens (from S1/2) I can't make my mind up who is worse. Moved to a new school.

I've been watching the Dark Tourist too. Quite enjoyable so far, I had no idea dark tourism was a thing, some of the places he visits are interesting, not sure why you'd want to do it for a holiday!

Good idea for a programme, but we couldn't hack the Poundshop Louis Theroux in charge. Lasted 10 minutes before we surrendered.

I had the same Louis Theroux feeling and incidentally someone basically calls him that in the show too and he admits its not the first time

Just watched Caliber and found it thoroughly enjoyable, some real edge of the seat moments.
Realistic too, no Hollywood special effects here and it's all the better for it.
Yep this passed the no laptop/phone test for both me and the wife last night, which is rare thing. Realistic too, no Hollywood special effects here and it's all the better for it.
The familiarity of the landscape setting draws you in and the Shallow Grave/American Werewolf/Wicker Man vibe places it strongly ahead of the usual throwaway Made for Netflix fodder.
It's well paced and a good watch.
Just finished watching Calibre based upon the recommendations here and from a friend. Pretty surprised it only got a 6.7 on imdb. Really enjoyed it.
I guess the lower rating (not that 6.7 is low, per se) is perhaps due to the relatively low-budget affair/filming etc.... But I feel this adds to it.... Middle of nowhere in Scotland.
Worth a watch IMO.
