Stumbled across ‘Glass’ this weekend. I liked a lot more than Split and I thought it was on par with unbreakable.

Searching

Watched this in the cinema last year but it has appeared on Sky/Now TV recently. The synopsis reads like a cheap straight to video concept piece but it's actually incredibly well put together and acted. It somewhat understandably has to stretch the limits of the constraints it set itself, but it's good enough that I'd give it a pass for that.

Split was OK, Mcavoy made it. Unbreakable was a bit boring and my life definitely wasn't enhanced by seeing it. All imo.

Don't know if I can bring myself to see Glass.

If you found Split do-able and Unbreakable boring in places, I reckon catch Glass if/when you feel like it when it goes on the telly.

I liked unbreakable and split, but thought Glass was a bit poor in comparison.

Captive State. John Goodman stars.

Aliens already run the World and he a senior police officer trying to keep a lid on the rebellion. Some interesting stuff but quite a slow burner.

Worth a 6/10 I suppose.

Lancaster Skies - worth a watch, not an action film though so bare that in mind.

The Thomas crown Affair on now, the remake, very good
Great Film but bit of a busmans holiday for me. I regularly instruct loss adjusters to deal with damaged and stolen artwork. They are not usually as pretty as Rene Russo which is a shame.

First Man

I'm an Apollo nut, knew I wouldn't like it, hence the delay, didn't.

Way too dark, way too depressing.

Found time for "Whitey's on the Moon" but no Apollo 8.

Godzilla: King of Monsters

All those folks who complained the last Godzilla didn't have enough monster action? Yeah, thanks for that. Over two hour of murky rain at night CGI fighting between characters we mostly have zero interest in or care for. I was so, so bored, wish I'd gone with Aladdin instead.

Troubled boozy army vet visits therapist and is given an unusual prescription. Sex, murder, revenge. And more murder.

You see, I grew up watching the ToHo studio Godzilla film's on ch4 so loved all the characters/Kaiju. Probably helped I saw it in 3d and Xplus. Vivé le difference.
