Did the first episode of Severance the other night on the back of comments and found it really slow and boring.
Is it one of these series that you need to persevere with before it take hold and is amazing or is it more if you didn't like the first episode, this isn't going to be the series for you?
At its heart it's a really interesting premise.
It’s exactly this - you need to stick with it until the end as it spirals to an amazing final episode where so many elements come together! Is it one of these series that you need to persevere with before it take hold and is amazing or is it more if you didn't like the first episode, this isn't going to be the series for you?

Looking forward to season 2!
It seems perfectly set up for series 2. Stick with it.
Finished watching The Crowded Room last night - really enjoyed it - Decent plot / cast with a proper ending.

God Ted Lasso is good isn't it?!
I love the way they introduce 'filler' episodes completely out of the blue as a broadside to the main story line. The Beard episode in Series 2 was incredible, Amsterdam in Series 3 may even have been better.
For such a seemingly lightweight and fluffy series, the character development really is first class.
If you're put off because it's about football like I was, then don't be because it's not.

Not watched Lasso yet - I have been put off I think by the football link, so thanks to the poster above who says I shouldn't be!
Crowded room is on the list too.
I watched the Jennifer Garner series - it was good enough to watch, but you can call the outcome from the start .
The Beanie Babies film was good. Nice to see Snook is something other than Succession.
I have previously accused Apple TV+ of being more style than substance, but I'm actually pretty impressed with the relatively small curation of well produced shows.

Gone back a few pages and can't see any mention of it.
Started watching The After Party season one.
I can't work out if it's me or if it's just ste and just not funny
Might give it one more episode but I came very close to just switching it off.

I might pick it up again but it's not got me hooked. It looks good, and the premise is fine. I put it down to there being so much stuff out there that series come across often disposable.
The following fit the same bill for me:
1. The series about the magic booth with the bloke from the IT crowd. Watched a few on and off but didn't seem to go anywhere. May pick it up in the background while doing something else to see what happens.
2. The series where they're selling real estate on the moon or something. Same as above, would like to see where it's heading but don't plan on committing too much time to it.
I can't even remember what they're called . There's another I started too but can't remember!

2. Hello Tomorrow
I quite enjoyed both and Big Door Prize was renewed for a second season after just four of the ten had aired.

The "disposable" comment is something I'm still getting used to having dropped Sky.
I still seem to mostly look for "live" TV.
Probably an age thing

I have zero interest in foot ball, but I did enjoy season 1,
so I watched season 2, not nearly as enjoyable,
and as for season 3, that imo was just a tedious soap opera.
Cannot argue with you at all on this, I'm not a football fan but season 1 was a genuinely decent light comedy, the rest is a mildly amusing at best drama.so I watched season 2, not nearly as enjoyable,
and as for season 3, that imo was just a tedious soap opera.

The main reason to not watch Ted Lasso is because it's dire. The football is just the cherry on the top.
I do seem to be in a minority on here though which is fine. Would be a dull world if we all liked the same things.

Hijack is becoming gripping and extremely watchable.
Shame James6112 cancelled his subscription…he’s missing out on lots of great series.
I’m watching Hijack and enjoying it despite working in the industry and knowing the entire thing is laughably inaccurate. Easy watching.Shame James6112 cancelled his subscription…he’s missing out on lots of great series.
