Insatiable

Black, camp much derided Netflix original comedy about being fat, losing weight and beauty pageants.
It sort of brings to mind a cross with Kingpin and GLOW.
I'm quite enjoying it.

Anyone else watching GLOW?
For brain off easy to watch TV it's good.
To be fair, it's more than that smile It's one of my favourite shows of the past couple of years, a great ensemble performance from everyone involved.
Yes, wife and I just finished the second series in a few evenings, having binge-watched all of Season 1 last year whilst my wife was having a "pregnant and miserable" type day.

Ditto! Not a bad episode in S1. The ones directed by Bateman (Marty) were superb.

Oh I agree, I think it's great. But I only like light hearted stuff, others on here are much more high brow than me so thought I'd caveat it to be safe smile

Another shout for Wind River - excellent film. I'd skimmed over it a few times until I saw the number of recommendations in this thread.

Matt Groening's Disenchantment is up on Netflix

Watched 3. Its pretty good, but its no Futurama.
I love The Simpsons (especially the earlier stuff from S3 to about S10-11, but I've never actually watched Futurama....worthwhile?

Futurama is far better than Simpsons.

Currently binge watching “Dark Tourist”. Kiwi version of Louis Theroux travels the world looking at odd and macabre tourist destinations such as Fukushima, Cambodia, Famagusta etc

If you like light hearted, I'm assuming you've seen The Good Place?

Futurama is fantastic. I think I was 14 or 15 when they started showing it on Sky One along with Family Guy afterwards. Bender is probably my favourite character across all TV.

Futurama is so funny and far better then the Simpsons. Its on Sky 1 now from 1700 until about 1830 at the moment. Its something me and my son (aged 8) can watch together. I watched it growing up so its quite a nice to watch it with him. He has even set it on series record so no doubt ill have a fair few episodes recorded. I have the original 4 series on DVD but I was sure they finished it then but I was wrong they did a few more. Is it on Netflix?

They did several feature length episodes which they split up for TV, and I think they formed mini series' or something like that. I'd imagine they'll all be on Sky catch up or NowTV

Edit - S3 and S4 are on catch up.

You could tell how Futurama was going to go when they had Bender literally st a brick in the pilot episode.

Simpsons has never had anything to match Jurassic Bark either.

Watched the Belko Experiment. If you like Battle Royale / The Hunger Games style movies, then I would recommend. Basically everyone in a tower, and last man standing killing spree.

Really looking forward to this. I do hope they release the full season at once, rather than any of this drip-feeding an episode a week nonsense.
Agreed. Highly recommended.

I have an annoyance.

I'm working my way through lilyhammer, which is brilliant by the way.

S3 picture quality is shocking and i'm seeing it more and more on netflix. S1&2 were sharp as a tack but this one is really grainy and looks like some shonky copy. Is it the introduction of HDR?

Probably stating the obvious here, but do you have a decent/stable internet connection?
If the speeds vary then the quality on Netflix will too.
