Automotive Vloggers (Vol. 4)
Discussion
Archie has bagged himself a drive in this year’s Porsche 911 GT3 Cup series - fair play to him for that. Hope he manages to get some good content from that.
Still not entirely sure what happened to his Lambo drive but this is still a big upgrade on last season.
On a semi-related note, have he and TGE purposely distanced themselves on YouTube? Looks like they still comment on each other’s posts on Insta but I can’t remember that last video where one was on the others channel?

My guess is he won't.He's there to race a car not make content , he got that opportunity in formula e and totally wasted it .

Yep it was a great listen however, seems mad to me that he is now buying cars based on what income they will generate.
He in a minute will have too many cars to follow and I wonder if the channel will suffer as a result.
To clarify, he said that internet interest is one of the things which affects his choice of cars, alongside his personal preference and what a particular car is likely to cost in depreciation. He made it clear that if he wasn't a car Youtuber he would not have all these cars (he said if he had an office job, presumably still making a lot of money, he would probably have a McLaren 765 and a Ferrari Lusso). Thus the cars are a business asset (and will be accepted as such for tax purposes) so why is it mad to buy ones which will be good for the channel? He in a minute will have too many cars to follow and I wonder if the channel will suffer as a result.
And why would too many cars be bad for the channel? Don't people just watch videos of cars they are interested in? In which case, the more cars the more people are interested.

He didn't do very well in that electric SUV race, crashing into another car on the first lap, and that racing he did last year he gave up and didn't bother to do the last few races, what sort of racing driver doesn't relish any seat time that they can get in a racing car?
One who was having to pay to race, and was short of money?waremark said:

People knock Tim but he's probably one of the most clued up automotive youtubers if not the most clued up there is.

One who was having to pay to race, and was short of money?I am not joking now and am being one hundred percent serious, because he never said that this was a paid for seat, I mean I could be wrong and have forgotten but I honestly don't remember this being mentioned at all or anything that would lead one to believe that he was paying for the seat, well he's not as good a driver as he leads everyone to believe then.
The drive he got now is also a paid for seat then?

One who was having to pay to race, and was short of money?Equally he showed everyone that he has enough skills to get to the right end of the pack, plus iirc didn't he have a mechanical failure that put him out of a double header and left him no chance of the championship ??

No-one cares.Is he though?
I mean, he's not a reviewer. He's good at mentioning specs and colours.
He doesn't pretend to be also.

If he was clued up why has got a new M3, he had a M8 comp last year that added nothing to the channel and was never really seen on screen, cannot see the M3 adding much, worlds ugliest car in an awful colour.
The m8 was a bmw loan/ very cheap lease German registered while he was living there, he said so in one of his videos recently. I would guess that the m3 is the same, easy videos for not much money. For the first time in a long time I watched one of Tim's video's. It was his 718 GT4 collection from Hatfield. A car I am potentially interested in for the future. Whilst I respect what he does and I am sure he is a very smart/savvy guy, it reminded me again why I do not watch his video's.
