I know who Jez Quigley is, I was wondering if Jez was who the previous two posters were thinking of - before one of them edited his post! Sneaky...
But not sneaky enough
BTW, I was on about Jed ClampettBut not sneaky enough

Is this the end for Chesney?
I doubt it. The "da-da-daaaaa" ending with the shot of his phone lying next to the canal probably means he simply left it behind in his moment of distress. Corrie can be very simplistic sometimes.(Plus there's nothing in my TV guide for Friday's episodes which mentions Ches - no news is good news. Sorry fot this "sort of" spoiler).
Mind you, the Corrie Crew have surprised us all recently. Good stuff at the moment, which makes up for that short period a few weeks back when we were all moaning about how weak the scripts had become.

He just reminds me of a fat Brian Harvey from East 17. For all his obvious faults, I reckon Phelan would be old-school villain, and not take too kindly to drug dealers. Wouldn't that be great in the Street ? Phelan up against Jez? Worth the licence fee, that.

You don't pay a licence fee to watch ITV.....
Yes you do. Whilst all the money goes to the BBC, you pay the licence fee to watch any channel at the time of broadcast. As far as I am aware, (and I may be wrong) it does not get one single penny from the TV licence.
Hence I stand by my original statement ...
However, I concede that as you cannot watch ITV in isolation, you need (legally) to have a TV licence to view terrestrial television, of which ITV forms a part.
Before the programme started the announcer said "some viewers may find scenes distressing" - I immediately thought "Eileen in her underwear".
Poor Rita's gone ga-ga. Gets ready for the wedding and then forgets what she's ready for.
My satellite connection failed at 7.50pm. B*gger! Now I don't want to watch the second episode until I've seen the rest of the first on Catch-Up.
PS Thanks to the wonders of digital tech I'm now back on course. A couple of good episodes, as usual for Fridays. Eileen's white Zoe miraculously transformed into a silver Korean car of some sort. I wondered why the sound of a petrol engine was coming from her car. Now I reckon she's going to follow Pat one day for a laugh, and see him enter the abandoned house of doom. Just my thoughts.
