same for me, I think the shows ended up its arse a bit.
The early seasons about the finance side were great, Now everythings seems cheezy and over the top, The bald robot chick character, the cringy "tech" guys, the creepy english guy and his tea cup, wag's making everything a pantomime with a metaphor send off.
il see out the season but I think it really should of ended with the chuck vs axe finale.

Having my first doubts about this series now. Still enjoying it, don't get me wrong, but there was a moment when Bobby was giving the speech at his sons school where I thought it was just a rip off of Gordon Gekkos greed is good speech. Far too OTT.
This . Exactly what I thought too plus ( unlike Geko) it didn't suspend ones disbelief in the slightest, totally improbable. Having my first doubts about this series now. I'm still enjoying it.
It's suffering the same fate as all US shows though, they rarely want to risk a major shift - for instance it might have been interesting to see Axe go to prison and emerge penniless, too risky for them.
At the same time though they need to up the stakes, Billionaires are no longer exciting to the Audience so now they're 'Decas' which isn't a term I've heard before and I think they made up for Billions, - a Decas is someone with 10 Billion, apparently, it's not much of thing apart from being a plot point to usher in a new enemy for Axe.
Mostly though the characters have become a bit more 2 dimensional, Axe is just nasty now, he used to been mostly decent to the 'common man' but that's gone, he's more of a Narcissist now, or maybe a sociopath, I don't know anyway he cares about a few people, but only people he really needs like Wags and his family.
Wendy isn't much better, she seems to Toy with Chuck, stringing him along when it suits her and dragging him over the coals when it doesn't. She destroys him for being out of contact when their teenage son does the same stupid st teenagers do, blowing it massively out of proportion for maximum effect - deflecting that he was in her care at the time.
Other main characters have lost some of their subtlety too, I don't know if it's character progression or just lazy writing, ratings are falling though and they're cutting a few characters, seems like cost saving to me.

I thought the generally accepted rule was you could post about episodes that have aired in the UK. So Once S06E01 is aired on Sky, talk away about S06E01 or before. If someone is a few days behind, they need to avoid the thread. If they are a season behind, really avoid the thread!
Even if they do post spoilers, they could use the [ spoiler ] tags...

It's out in the US and the usual places online.
Sky have so far not given a UK viewing date yet, however it's hoped some time later this month.
Anyone know of any updates?Sky have so far not given a UK viewing date yet, however it's hoped some time later this month.
We're technically in Autumn and I haven't seen/heard anything...
No exact date/time - October 2020

Plenty of positive comments on this program. I gave S1E1 fifteen minutes and gave up.
Not wanting to sound Daily Mail-ish by saying "I'm no prude, but..." - it seemed like another of those productions where people say fk every five seconds for "impact", rather than taking the trouble (or having the ability) to write a compelling script.
Potential hypocrisy here when I say I loved Succession. But listening to characters endlessly saying fk, just gets boring.

I lost track of this, and because the programme became so repetitive and generic I genuinely have no clue if I watched the whole last series or not. It had the baddie from Ant-Man in it. One of it's problems was that all the characters sounded the same, remove the names and any line could be said by anyone. The News Room had the same issue, then there was the formulaic delivery, yadda yadda. It started off fairly well.

The first couple of seasons were great. Yes it was a bit exaggerated in terms of how the big hedge funds work etc but it remained a sense of realism.
The last season and before it have been absolute pish. Robot skin head girl and wags turning into someone weird philosopher type. It just became a barrel of cringe.
