I paid 40 quid lol but still worth it.
I used this recently - just under £29 for a year isn't too bad. (This is not an affiliate link I make no money from this)

I have a current ‘pay monthly’ subscription which expires at end of this month. I guess I need to wait for it to expire and then resubscribe using the code. I’m guessing I can purchase the code now and apply it later?

How does it work? Do they give you a discount code to apply on the Disney+ website?

Just started watching season 2 of War of the Worlds, it's not gone in the direction I expected, gripping nonetheless
Is it worth persevering with? I watched the 1st season and a couple of episodes of the 2nd but lost interest.Ouroboros said:

My son and I just started The Bad Batch and are well into it already, it's great!
We missed the Clone Wars entirely but may have to go back to it after this, animation seems to fit the scope of 'Star Wars on telly' far better than the recent live action series.
I haven't seen the bad batch but highly recommend the clone wars. It's well worth watching. We missed the Clone Wars entirely but may have to go back to it after this, animation seems to fit the scope of 'Star Wars on telly' far better than the recent live action series.

The Princess - to be honest I'm not sure what to make of this. It was fun and I did enjoy it but I'm not sure who it was aimed at:
- a little too much swearing and probably too bloody for younglings
- not enough blood/grit for YA/adults
- very strong "...yay, women are incredible..." message (which in the context of the film is no problem) but then, possibly, too much violence/sword-play for a lot of girls/women

I watched the 1st episode of the show about ILM last night, Light and Magic, a really interesting start to how they came to be, the people involved etc and their various talents. Their attitude and laid back work style, much like Google and Facebook seem to be now from what I've seen.
It got me thinking how amazing it must have been to be working on Star Wars in 1976, putting the effects together to completely change the way special effects were made and what it must have been like to see a film that so many thought would fail become the massive success that it was and the fan-base etc that it created. These people literally changed the world and not just cinema IMO really and at the time they didn't have a clue what was about to happen.

‘Big Sky’ - I’m currently 8 episodes in and really enjoying this
1st season is great2nd season doesn't really know where it's going (although thankfully it resolved some things from season 1). Whilst still entertaining, there's not that much storyline development going on...
