Blame the script - she is a very long way from the single dimensional world of (for example) Baby Jack , but she can only work with the lines and plot she is given. I have heard her a lot in Radio 4 dramas and she is excellent .

Most if not all the characters are very one dimensional.
You've literally got Maureen Lipman and the odd other who can inject something into these poorly written recent scripts

It's an improvement on his recent "just got out of bed" look.

Adam back in the Jag xf. Didn't he have one of those when he first came on the street which he did something dodgy with

How is all his acting worked around the "pure open gobbed astonishment" look?
Really off-putting to be honest.

Nice to see the old skool getting an opportunity to do some proper acting, instead of a token ten second appearance every couple of weeks.

It was but there was still too much "gob open" on display from the only copper in the village.
Time for another sinkhole to open up corrie writers, another clear out needed of old stories going nowhere.

There have been a few occasions when the “child” actor growing into the “adult” character has been changed because the Producers or Casting Directors have realised the child actor has reached the end of their talent. They have obviously missed one when it comes to PC Craig Tinker. Maybe it’s the scripts he gets, but he is the most unconvincing Policeman I have seen on Television.

When I've seen him on other shows when he's being himself and not "acting" he's just as annoying. I'll be honest both him and Faye are really annoying and need ditching sooner than later.

Agreed. It was mildly interesting when he had ocd, I think that was "peak" Craig. Since then it's been mainly catching flies in his permanent open gob/gormless expression method acting.
The premature menopause story is just another box ticking short storyline and will be done with soon hopefully.

Is it just me that feels the script writers are wasted on Corrie

Surely far better employed working for Shelter UK

quite how they get soooo many people to either share beds or bedrooms together is beyond me, gay, straight, young, underage, moving in, moving on, young, old, no problem, we've got room.

who needs to legalise HMO places when you've got Coronation Street.?

I'd love to know how PC tinker can supposedly access ancient police HR files to look back into a retired detective? Or find out anything basically about a bent copper from 20+yrs back. You can see where the story is heading..

Why is Stu on remand? Did I miss something? Surely he was arrested for plagueing Yasmin and refusing to leave the house? Can't see why that would result in detention.

I wondered the same, I tried to look it up without success.

But whatever he did, he should have robbed the safe.
He'd have got away with that.

Craig obviously dozed off in the data protection module of his training . I do wish Stu would bugger off and find a glittering new career in a Lindisfarne tribute band .
