Not bothered previously with The Handmaids Tale but have taken to binge watching the lot.

Season 1 done…….. I think it is rather good!
I've heard that Season 1 is indeed good, but it subsequently descends into what some have referred to as "Misery Porn" with latter seasons being a somewhat masochistic experience.

That's just what I've heard / read, mind.
I couldn't watch season 1, I found it too traumatic. My wife watched it all but thinks it should have stopped when the original book did.

First couple episodes of S02, it’s dark as it describes new character backgrounds.

Still good though!

Tried Terminal List last night.

Did they forget to pay the electric bill or something? The dialog is all mumbled and the scenes are way too dark to see what is happening. I thought it might improve after the opening action scene but nope, I gave up.

What a wasted opportunity to be the next Reacher.

It is absolutely brilliant in my opinion and, rather worryingly, you could actually imagine something like this happening....

Anyone else watching Terminal List?

Chris Pratt as a special ops soldier who suffers with memory issues after his team are all killed - only to find out that someone is out to finish the job.

Actually very watchable- pretty good so far and 8.2 on IMDb
Watched all 8 episodes yesterday/last night. Pretty good tbh, good action scenes although I did find myself skipping through all the predictable family scenes. The main twist I could see coming a mile off but glad I watched it.

10 mins into final episode, have thoroughly enjoyed it, slightly more so than Reacher

Just finished The Terminal List and it was pretty good. No problem hearing the dialogue for me (though I did watch a lot on headphones which maybe helped). Some of the "escapes" particularly when being hunted in the countryside and one moment they could see his thermal image from a drone and the next they seemed to forget all about the drone and lost him. But I always think that with anything like this you have to accept that at times you have to leave your brain on "uncritical" setting for the duration.

By and large entertaining.

Handmaid tale is amazing, the first season is cinematic shots galore, some amazing scenes.

The rest aren't as beautiful and the pace picks up, which alters the tone, but we watched the lot and enjoyed (in an odd way) the whole story and the arc... Sure it's brutal with glimmers of hope, but overall worth sticking with

Going through Supernatural, watched about 8 seasons years ago but now committed to going through all 15. Currently onto season 5 and still enjoying it. My missus likes it as well, never met anyone before who's even watched it outside of my family so it's nice to have someone to watch it with.

I enjoyed all 15 seasons and thought it ended well and went out on a high note.

Have you seen Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy in The Boys?

Yes, very.
But.
Don't watch if you don't like lots of swearing, is used regularly. Sexual content is both graphic and humourous I loved it.

very much this ^^^ If you watched/liked Banshee you'll have a rough grasp of levels of violence and sex - swearing on the other hand is a whole other level

Started on the terminal list earlier, highly rated at 8.2 but I'm finding it to be the usual dumb fk all American action bullst, boring as hell so far, along with the now obligatory soft spoken barely audible gravel voiced dialogue interspersed with shouting and explosions. I can sort of see a plot developing, but does it actually get going for anyone with a modicum of the cerebral?
The strange camera work towards the end really started to get on my t*ts

Heads up that Prime is going up from 15th September, from £7.99 to £8.99 monthly / £79 to £95 annually.

My renewal date isn't until next Feb/Mar, and I think I might bin AP then.

Spend over £10 on books (which is most of my Amazon purchases) or £20 on other stuff and delivery is free anyway. AP hasn't had much watch-worthy content for quite a while now and for the one-off programme that is, there's always the providers of illicit ones and zeros.

To be fair, it seems to be the first increase in years so not entirely unexpected however I have only just renewed mine and I did consider cancelling because I am no longer sure I get the benefits from membership anymore so this will likely push me to cancel next year.
