I’m going to cancel mine. Overall & with other things like netflix etc, costs just keep going up so I’m going to cut some out.

Heads up that Prime is going up from 15th September, from £7.99 to £8.99 monthly / £79 to £95 annually.
Cheaper over here in Germany, presumably that's because there's no border to cross? hehe

As of 15 September 2022, the price of the monthly Prime membership will increase from €7.99 to €8.99 (including VAT), and the price of the annual Prime membership will increase from €69.00 to €89.90 (including VAT)

Anyone got a recommendation for a detective/mystery series i can watch with my daughter (she's 13)?

We've spent the last few months working our way through Elementary (the US version of Sherlock Holmes) and enjoyed that so are looking for something similar that we can catch up on. Doesn't need to be new, as she hasn't seen most stuff anyway smile

Edit forgot about this: Cruel Summer is excellent.
Alex Rider is ok. Do you have Netflix? To be honest there is a lot more on that (that we’ve found ie same as you teenage daughter)

Watched Alex Rider. She enjoyed it and I thought it was OK, but a bit too obviously targeted at a "younger teen" audience.

Not heard of Cruel Summer, I'll look it up

Yes, we have access to Netflix too.

I think I will cancel mine - that'll teach them to put prices up during a cost of living crisis!!!

For the sake of an extra pound a month I’ll keep mine. But one of the factors mentioned in the email was showing EPL football - I hope they learn from BT’s experience and don’t get dragged into sports rights bidding wars - it doesn’t do anyone any good.

Late to the party with The Boys.

The plane and baby scenes both A1, I'm rarely shocked by TV these days.

OK, not Prime, but Paramount through Prime, really enjoying the entirely unfeasible Ray Donovan. Every character is some kind of stereotype yet it has a great cast, strong performances and we are throughly enjoying it!

Enjoying Bosch.

Watched Legacy first. Not a problem but probably better to watch in order.

Feels like a less gritty Wire.

Titus Wellinever has a slightly interesting acting style, including clocking his head to one side and having his hands in his trouser pockets all the time. But I quite like it. (Am on S4 out of 7).

Started watching The magicians series and now all of a sudden its not on Prime 1/2 way through. Series 2 of 5. Wish I had known it was coming off prime list. Is there a list of dates series is going on and off Prime?

I thought Legacy was good but nowhere near the quality of the original series,. Its really good television, one of my favourite shows, enjoy.

Thought I’d try prime free for a month. A bit like Netflix I end up spending ages looking for stuff to watch by which time I can’t be bothered to watch anything. Or I’ll think of something I want to watch and it’s either got to be paid for or not available. Don’t know whether to start paying for it or cancel or cancel the tv licence when that’s due next month and keep prime.
