Have you or any of your family ever been diagnosed Schizophrenic? Mentally incompetent?

Going to New York in Feb, Mrs J4CKO is dying to get dragged round GB locations, Hook and Ladder 8, Lunch at The Tavern on The Green, Central Park West, Rockfeller center, New York Public Library etc biggrin

Only did one location last time in 1991, stayed at Columbia University.

Bucket list thing, did the Lost Boys pilgrimage in 2012, Santa Carla (Cruz) Boardwalk, Grandpas house etc.

Actually, the start of the trailer put me in mind of the start of the Lost Boys, i.e. the kids moving to grandpas rural and quite rustic house with their mom (american so can say mom...) and they are skint, admittedly grandpa wasnt dead in the Lost boys

This I noticed, at 1.01, the piano, exactly the same as Venkman tapping the keys on Dana Barrett Piano "They Hate that"

1.20 use of slidey pole biggrin

Symmetrical book stacking

1.07 billowing thing a bit ghosty, bit Stay Puft

2.16 ghost looks very Slimer/Onionhead ish

Nod to the GB Nerd community with the replica trap.

Biggest hint at the big bad in this movie...

'Ivo Shandor Mining Co'

Ivo Shandor is the architect of the building in the first Ghostbusters and leader of the cult of Goza…. and that clearly appears to be a demon dog landing on Paul Rudd's car.

So thinking that they may need some help from some folk who have fought and beaten Goza before? (Bill Murray always insisted he would only do a 3rd movie if it was to hand over the torch to new blood)

I think Ivo was the Big Bad in the game.

I watched this, it's a nice lil history of Murray and GB.

Bit too kid-heavy for me.

Vast, promising improvement over that other stheap though, so thumbs-up!

Oh no. Just seen the trailer. Must admit I’m disappointed this seems to be a kids movie.

I was hoping for something more aimed at fans of the original.

The first one was a family movie, a movie made for 40 odd year old plus fanboys/fangirls who have proton packs and whatnot may not be something the studios want or the punters want, I am a massive, geeky fan of the original but it was a daft film about ghosts, wonderful though it was, it doesnt need to be a historically 100 percent accurate, canon based circle jerk for "ghosttheads", want the 1984 film, watch it again.

Are you sure you’re not 12? Any need for the term circle jerk on a film discussion thread? Did you not get what you wanted for Xmas or something?

Anyway, there is a big difference between a movie suitable for all the family and a movie about children.

I’m disappointed, as a child you may not be able to comprehend other people have views or opinions.
