I meant to pass a remark last week about some more woodentops - the poker school. Even more wooden than Corrie's police.

Eva's back next week. Happy days.

Yeah... the 'main two' were the only players to announce their actions (raise/call), the others just tut and roll their eyes (just like a real poker game biggrin )

I can't understand why Michelle (and I don't even like her) doesn't give Robert the heave o, he has repeatedly lied through his back teeth to her, surely when she finds out about the 10k he lost in the poker game it will be the last straw.

I can't understand why he went to participate, as far as I am aware, he does not have anyone chasing him for money that he would be so desperate to gamble his livelihood with the Bistro bank account??

A fool and his money is soon parted, as they say.

As has been mentioned, sorry to see Colin and Moira go, but I suspected they would only be featured for several weeks.

Even though Phelan has returned 5k they are all still 10k down, as they lost 15k each, but I suppose they should be grateful for small mercies...smile.

Good to see Norris back behind the Kabin counter, I noticed he didn't leave his house for work until 9am on the first day back, presumably Rita did the 6am morning paper routine??

I'm liking the new Chesney. Tracy must be so proud.

(PS Sophie looking hotter and hotter these days............)
Been catching up; only up to last Thursday’s.

Agree about Chesney, nice to see him have a backbone rather than being a door mat.

I didn’t like Sophie’s new hair style from a couple of weeks ago but she looked very attractive at Sally’s mayor inauguration. Must be something to do with the bright red lipstick.

Kate on the other hand, looked rough. Probably intentional.

I’ll miss Moira and Colin. Fun characters.

Susan Barlow eh? There's a turn up for the book.

Of course Susan was Ken's daughter and later married Mike Baldwin.

Adam Barlow is Mike Baldwin's son, ergo Susan was his mother.

Young Adam Barlow, seen here with Candice Stowe.

I actually feel sorry for Todd of all people. He's got to decide what to do for the best.( It's only just occurred to me that Corrie re-employed the same actor for Adam Barlow's role.)

The Anna/Seb storyline is getting plain silly - not unusual for Corrie these days. Anna being held on remand as a danger to the British public is daft. I thought prisons were full to capacity. All the police have is Seb's "she may have been there", no other witnesses to the actual act, and the earring which surely is just circumstantial evidence?

To cap it all, the plod do not seem to have interviewed anyone who may have been at the solicitors office at the time of the "crime" - i.e. dozy Rosie. I don't recall them asking Adam and Todd whether any staff would have been present when Seb fell. One simple question would have established a) that Anna did not enter the office and b) Phelan did. That is, we have to assume that Rosie would remember. She could probably only remember what colour lipstick she had on that day.

Holidays in the Maldives can often cost upwards of £3k per person. Are we led to believe that the travel company does not have a cancellation charge?

Guilty:-

Perhaps he could have employed Adam Barlow to get him off the hook, or maybe his "assault" was captured on the nightclub CCTV, so he had no defence.

Pity,..... I liked "Todd" in the programme.

I agree - his was a strong character. He definitely had two sides to him - one minute he was a jack-the-lad looking after number one, but then he could be all "nice" showing he had a heart. He relates to Summer better than Billy, he loves his half-brother and mum to the point where he'd defend them to the death. If the writers have got to get him out, I hope they get him to shaft Phelan and then do a runner.

I don't know about you, but i'm still getting over Nic's bad tempered tank top rant biggrin

Putting those two in as Solicitors has certainly livened things up, it has got a bit like Dallas or Dynasty though lately.

Former Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two women.
The BBC have reported that Langley pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault during an appearance at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Last month, it was reported that a woman had come forward to say that the actor had acted "inappropriately" towards her in a Manchester nightclub.

Days after, it was confirmed that the 34-year-old had left Coronation Street after 16 years. He appeared on the soap as Todd Grimshaw from 2001-2004, returning for guest stints and reprised the role full-time in 2013.

An internal investigation was conducted by soap bosses in October of this year and at the time, the below statement was released:

“Bruno Langley is no longer contracted to Coronation Street.”

He got a 12 month 'Community order', will have to wear a tag for some time, sign the sex offenders register and get some rehabilitation (for drinking I think).
Will leave the Street on Christmas Eve.

Fair punishment (imo).

I don't think it warranted a jail sentence, he has lost his job and his reputation, let's hope he learns from it.
