The Oxford Traveller - is that a world record price? I think it would have been nicer with a maroon-coloured bottom half rather than bright red but it was still lovely.

Yes, lovely old car indeed, plus the MGB engine and over drive very useful for actually driving it, while not really looking any different, other than the twin carbs.

Very surprised at the price it made but the Frogeue went for silly money. I've been tempted to buy one but if that's what they're going for I think I'd go for a Sprite/Midget and stick a pokey 1275 in one.

Wow, that 603. That and the earlier T77 are my dream cars. Ledwinka was, in fact, the Austrian engineer essentially behind Porsche, Ferry cribbed a lot of his designs for the beetle, something VW later admitted and paid recompense for.

Another good show last night. Lots of interesting varied vehicles & it's renewed my interest in B&C compared to some of the recent previous series.

A varied episode, though none of the actual cars really floated my boat this time.

If they did a spin-off series about Charlie's racing, they could call it 'Bangers & Thrash'...

The Tatra 603 always reminds me of some cartoon villain's car, especially in black! Love it.

Judging by the number of project cars on the land, I’m not convinced the serial collector of Eastern bloc motors will do a full resto on the 603 smile

I enjoy the programme, although there aren’t all that many of cars shown that would have me reaching for the phone to bid I’m glad someone has and will go on to buy, use and love the cars.

However I’d have liked to have seen the tatty old 911 that was parked next to the T-reg Mini featured for a change though , as they’ve covered Mini restorations before.

The Tatra was a status symbol. A very high quality car in its day

Something about the Bedford HA respray didn't seem right to me. Maybe it had been a darker colour and needed another coat of white. I can endorse Derek's opinion of the engine - I had a Viva HA and the pistons and rings went at about 50k.

Yup, the only engine I know you can drop the pushrods into the sump. Ask me how I know!

Why would you take that signal message related to Titanic to Mathewsons?

The Toyota Corona - Derek commented that he thought the 38k miles was probably genuine based on the interior condition. Fair enough, but the speedo was clearly marked km/h which would suggest it had probably been round the clock once with approximately 85k miles on the clock.

I would imagine because you know you're going to get your 15 minutes of fame on the telly whereas if you took it to the more well known for Titanic memorabilia auction house on the south coast you wouldn't. (I bet it would've achieved more at the other auction house too, as they often have Titanic sales, why would you even look on Matthewsons website for that type of item?)
