They really didn't skimp on the gore at times, some of it gets pretty extreme. Plus it's a running joke through the episodes too.

One of the best film to TV translations, probably because it was made with the involvement of all the main people who did the films and is a proper continuation. Assuming you saw the right version of Army of Darkness...

Just started watching Homeland. WHAT A SHOW! Can't believe I never gave it a shot before..
The first series is fantastic although I wish it had an alternative ending.

It does lose its way a little although the past few series have been excellent.

Make the most of it... it only goes downhill from series 2/3.

I thought the season filmed in Germany was pretty decent, all the others bar the first 2 or 3 have been poor though.

So did we. They milked it way too far, IMO.

Very good indeed. Season 2 (only halfway through) is just as good and possibly even better.

I also enjoyed Ice Guardians on Netflix. Documentary about a handful of lunatic ice hockey players/enforcers who made the regular hard nuts who play professional hockey look like little kids.

I watched that too and enjoyed it, if you haven't seen it then you should watch the movie Goon, doesn't seem to be on Netflix for me (Im in Austria though).
I just noticed there is a newer one from 2016 'Goon: Last of the enforcers' but I haven't seen that so no idea if its good or not, might have to watch that later though to see as I didn't know it existed and it seems to be on netflix here.

Pine Gap - a mystery "who dunnit" set in the US / Aussie intelligence gathering base in the Outback. Tensions rise between the American and Aussie staff after a spy is found amongst them and the investigation takes place. I expected it to be trashy but was surprisingly good, and only has six episodes so it didn't drag on.

Hold the Dark - a bit of a weird one this, it's something about a little kid going missing after being taken by wolves and a wolf expert comes to the isolated Alaskan village to find him. I want to say it was good as the cinematography was good and there were a couple of very good action scenes (the Netflix disclaimer at the beginning of "graphic injury detail" certainly wan't exaggerating), but the plot was meandering and the pacing all over the place at times. If you're in the mood for a slow and weird film I'd recommend watching it, but I think it's certainly one of those films I'll watch once then never again.

Yep. Maybe the second half goes downhill as I'm not that far in, but Bill Pullman is great and the story is compelling.

2nd series didn't hold me like the first, possibly as JB isn't in it!

Bad Blood

It's a sort of Sopranos but not as good. It's ok though. The timeline skips around a bit.
Watched the first 2 episodes yesterday, so far I like it.

1st Series is better than the 2nd. If you haven't started the latter don't bother.

I quite liked the second series of Sinner.

Late to the party but am enjoying How To Get Away With Murder at the moment. Dismissed it as a bit of a teen drama for ages, I guess it is but it's still good fun.

The Game.

Brilliant movie, one of my all time favourite films, with a great twist.

Sinner 1st series was great, 2nd was merely ok for me, just didn't have the same pull

Pullman started to grate as well
