Netflix - What gems have you found?
Discussion
They really didn't skimp on the gore at times, some of it gets pretty extreme. Plus it's a running joke through the episodes too.
One of the best film to TV translations, probably because it was made with the involvement of all the main people who did the films and is a proper continuation. Assuming you saw the right version of Army of Darkness...

Just started watching Homeland. WHAT A SHOW! Can't believe I never gave it a shot before..
The first series is fantastic although I wish it had an alternative ending. It does lose its way a little although the past few series have been excellent.

Very good indeed. Season 2 (only halfway through) is just as good and possibly even better.I also enjoyed Ice Guardians on Netflix. Documentary about a handful of lunatic ice hockey players/enforcers who made the regular hard nuts who play professional hockey look like little kids.

I just noticed there is a newer one from 2016 'Goon: Last of the enforcers' but I haven't seen that so no idea if its good or not, might have to watch that later though to see as I didn't know it existed and it seems to be on netflix here.
Pine Gap - a mystery "who dunnit" set in the US / Aussie intelligence gathering base in the Outback. Tensions rise between the American and Aussie staff after a spy is found amongst them and the investigation takes place. I expected it to be trashy but was surprisingly good, and only has six episodes so it didn't drag on.
Hold the Dark - a bit of a weird one this, it's something about a little kid going missing after being taken by wolves and a wolf expert comes to the isolated Alaskan village to find him. I want to say it was good as the cinematography was good and there were a couple of very good action scenes (the Netflix disclaimer at the beginning of "graphic injury detail" certainly wan't exaggerating), but the plot was meandering and the pacing all over the place at times. If you're in the mood for a slow and weird film I'd recommend watching it, but I think it's certainly one of those films I'll watch once then never again.

Really? I havent bothered as Biel wasnt in it.
Maybe I should. Really liked the first season.
Yep. Maybe the second half goes downhill as I'm not that far in, but Bill Pullman is great and the story is compelling.Maybe I should. Really liked the first season.

1st Series is better than the 2nd. If you haven't started the latter don't bother. Black Delta
