The Tomb Raider movie from this year has been added today. I haven't seen it, it just seems a quick turnaround to get a 2018 film on Netflix.
I have a free afternoon after work, I'll give it a go.

Just watched Netflix take on the jungle book. It's very well done, and pretty dark in places for a "family" film.
A solid 7/10
I put it on one afternoon as I had nothing else to do, I really enjoyed it, particularly as it wasn't "fluffy" like the other recent offering by (I think) Disney.
Haven’t yet watched it. Just seemed unnecessary with the recent CGI heavy offering doing a good job as a family film.... odd to revisit so soon.
It has a completely different feel to it from the recent Disney one.
They were also made at the same time and the one on Netflix had a delayed release because of this. It was originally a WB picture but they sold it to Netflix after it was completed.
I have to say it’s by far the best film version of the story. The Disney remake added nothing except CGI. This was a much better film. It’s not suitable for very young children, but for anyone over about 12 this is the version to watch.

sounds very similar to the travellers series, 3rd series just arrived, Eric McCormack is quite good in it I think.

Last night I watched Who Killed Jam Master Jay. Run DMC got me into hip hop and felt I had to watch it.

It really is sad that these rapper murders never seem to get solved. I highly recommend it.

Sunderland Till I Die

Really really good.

Very stylishly put together, with fantastic access to the club, and they were very lucky (in documentary-making terms) to have been in the club for the particular season that they were there.

I absolutely ripped through this one in a couple of sittings. Absolutely compulsive know how it ends before you've even got through the first few minutes. Always seems like it's the most dysfunctional clubs who allow this kind of access though (bar Man City, obv), remember the QPR one from about 8 or so years ago, then there was Leyton Orient... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYDIMWpcKqI (sweary)

In Germany "Bad Banks", a high-budget German show about a fictitious bank in Frankfurt is now on Netflix.

It is an amazing show, and not too far off reality apparently.

Shame. Saw the final episode last night. Lots' of PH's favourite pasttime (C&H) to be seen.

Two nights and this was done, loved it. Only thing it missed was dressing room team talks.

Completed Season 1 - 6 of Homeland and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I can understand why some might say it gets worse as the seasons go on. Season 5 filmed in Berlin was the worst for me, didn't enjoy it as much as the others. Season 6 was a wild ride but I did feel sorry for Quinn. I enjoyed more tradecraft per episode but have a feeling it's not over.

I think my favourites were 3 & 4. Need to try and find 7 somewhere as that's not on Netflix.
