proper actors such as Pierce Prosnan
Sorry, what? We're talking about the proper actor that you may remember from such milestones as Remington Steele, Lawnmower Man, and Dante's Peak?
His best performance was in The long good friday
I used to work with a Woman who utterly idolised her* and whenever she* was mentioned would gush about her* looks, I’ve hard many other Women claiming the same thing (honestly never met a bloke who felt the same) which I have to admit just proved to me how superficial some Women can be, mostly the type of girl who into high fashion and heat magazine.
She’s very slim, but has no figure. She wears many expensive and pretty (it seems) clothes, but isn’t especially pretty – it’s like beauty by numbers. +1 for handbag, +3 for dress, +99 for the silly shoes you can’t walk in... 0 points for body or face, but overall she scores a “stunning”

- But what I’ve actually discovered is, they love that vacuous tool Carrie from SITC. Whenever I’ve seen the real her on the TV she comes across as a nice, funny, Women who’s main interests in life seem to be her Husband and kids.

There are generally two requirements for making it as a leading lady in hollywood. You either have to be
A) stunning
or
B) a good actor
She is neither so I too am constantly surprised at her ongoing success.
However the reason women find her attractive has nothing to do with her looks. Many women are more enamoured with her lifestyle rather then her physical beauty. They watch SITC with the glamourous clothes, houses etc and self project wishing they could be like her. This is the reason why she is so popular amongst the female species and why she is seen as attractive. It's similiar to the reason why you see so many rich ugly men with beautiful wives\girlfriends. It's the lifestlye which is attractive rather then the actual person.
Men of course are more logical and straightforward in their thinking and can call a spade a spade or a horse in this case.

There really is a Sarah Jessica Parker Phenomenon - which is why it makes men so angry that they don't fancy her?! I don't think she's ever made herself out to be a particular beauty, and isn't really pitched at the male market. Even in interviews, she is polite and charming but not flirty with the interviewer like, for example, Megan Fox types.
So, why is that a lot of men get so very, very angry at her for not being beautiful enough?! She can hardly be mentioned without a Very Angry Man venting at how she's-ugly-and-he'd-never-sleep-with-her-so-there. So what? She's rarely even in films or television pitched at men. It's like women getting extremely cross because Jeremy Clarkson isn't good looking enough so how dare he be on television. So what? Watch some telly aimed at blokes and have a wk.
I agree, it's quite bizarre behaviour. I don't find her even slightly attractive but the most emotion I can muster is indifference. So, why is that a lot of men get so very, very angry at her for not being beautiful enough?! But it's not bizarre behaviour at all. I couldn't care less if she lived or died, what annoys me is I keep seeing photographs of her ghastly face when I am going about my everyday business. If it isn't on bus shelters it's to the side of some otherwise perfectly ordinary and acceptable web page, the Telegraph for instance.
There's plenty of ugly people in the world, but I don't have their image pushed in front of me in situations where one might reasonably expact to see faces which, if not entirely to my taste, are at least not as offensively ugly as SJP.

Enough emotion to post on the phenomenon rather than the woman. Anyway, think of the poor people that have to look at your face every day! But it's not bizarre behaviour at all. but still there is much more to beauty than external appearance and some of which are flaws give us character.
what you typed is just about the gayest thing I have ever seen written.Sarah JP looked like a starved spaniel on Jonathan Ross and it beggars belief that women apparently think she is gorgeous - a sad indictment of what women think we like, and what the majority of males actually like. There is nothing I have seen her in that hints at any form of acting talent either.
Paul, you can keep donkey features and her personality. Me, I'll take the below with her ample personality - and off the shelf B.J.W activity centre.
