I liked the bit where Edd showed us how to take the measurements for a new propshaft - and at the same time Mike was away sourcing some suspension parts to raise the body by 2.5 inches.
The way it was edited also made it look like Mike was looking at a pristine bodyshell while Edd was trying to sort out the rust bucket. I guess Mike was thinking "Eee's 'avin' fun, A'll ring 'im timarrah!!"

I used to watch this when it was aimed at the "home mechanic" working in his garage/lock up, without hundreds of thousands of machinery and tools. I know professional bodyshops with less tackle than they seem to have accumulated now.
I think I preferred it in those days as well.
Whilst writing this, noticed that Magna-Flow are now involved as well. They seem do OK out of TV deals, with Chip Foose as well.
And as for making an AMG, tribute or not, it doesn't appeal to me at all. Like putting M badges on a 520.

At least they went to the trouble of getting a load of engine work done to make it somewhat more worthy of the AMG bodykit/tribute. I think I preferred it in those days as well.

So its one up on all the "AMG-line" Mercs going around at the moment, but, in honesty, wasn't all the AMG kit originally available to bolt-on to your standard 200TE anyway, with no engine changes?
