Chuck's plan is surely in jeopardy with Wendy's 'profit' on her short position!
Does he give up taking Axe down, give up his trust fund or let Wendy go down with Axe?
Can he stop her going down since that other guy has run this operation?

I thought it was an internal bet, I don't know how these things work. Though I was happy with the really clunky exposition that Chuck's mate gave over what the price hold meant. Does he give up taking Axe down, give up his trust fund or let Wendy go down with Axe?

I can't see why Wendy has any bearing on anything, she took a position at the last minute based on the rest of Ax Capital shorting Ice Juice.
What Ax is going to get reamed for is the fraud he's committed with the poisoned Ice Juice.
Ax will claim Wendy was involved in the fraud. What Ax is going to get reamed for is the fraud he's committed with the poisoned Ice Juice.

I am sure the FBI can't go after Axe and leave the rest of Axe Capital untouched and they can't just let Wendy off because she's Chuck's missus as that would come out and ruin his political campaign.
I don't know what'll happen but it'll be interesting to see!
It will be brilliant. Chuck just welcomed the new DA, who just happens to be ruthless. Chuck gave him the best target to make a name for himself - Ax.
Chuck will be in big trouble as Wendy saved his losses by taking a short and she will be fair target when they start hunting down Ax. Ax will throw Wendy under the bus, as he pulled all lawsuits against Chuck as part of hiring Wendy back.
What is intresting is how Ax will get out of this one as they have all the proof to show sabotage and a subsequent Short on the shares...that is what I cant figure out! The new DA will be ruthless so everyone is going to get it in the neck equally.

I don't think he would do that but she shouldn't have taken a position at all, since it could presumably be seen as insider trading with her connection to Chuck/Chuck's evil Dad/ Ira.

There was no insider trading, it was an IPO, besides which she bet against it!I am sure the FBI can't go after Axe and leave the rest of Axe Capital untouched and they can't just let Wendy off because she's Chuck's missus as that would come out and ruin his political campaign.

It was trading on the open market, she knew Axe was about to short it, went to see Chuck to try and get him to get out, based on that knowledge, and then went against him in a move that would look like she was trying to cover the losses of her husband...Those actions will suggest she knew and was complicit in what Axe did to defraud the market (by making Ice Juice look bad to change the price, which was non-public information).
She is screwed and/or Chuck is... But the latter doesn't realise it yet.
The question is; what will happen to Axe? Seems obvious he's now bang to rights but it won't be that simple, I am sure...
