VM Varga in the 3rd season of Fargo. Awful character brilliantly played.

Don Logan all day long for me as well.

Every single thing about him is weird, ferocious and unsettling. There's never been a performance quite like that one.

Ben Kingsley said he based it largely on his grandmother.

Apparently there's going to be a Sexy Beast prequel TV show. No idea who they're going to get to play him.
SB was in TV last week and I ended up watching the maddest bits in the middle with the sound off.
Sir Ben is just as unsettling. I think it's he doesn't move his head much or avert his gaze.
The really cool thing is he doesn't actually do anything, just the threat.
Same with david thewlis as v.m vargo in fargo series 3

Yeah, Ed Harris is very good at the slow burn. Mel Gibson is too, but can't think of any real bad guy roles.

Ralph Fiennes character in schindlers list, evil personified.

Incidentally its 25 years today for the films release and some cinemas are playing it.

Do people think Eric bana's Chopper is worthy of a mention?
Yes and similarly Tom Hardy in Bronson.

Both portrayals of real people!

When I was a small child that demon haunted me in a recurring nightmare. My mum liked those old horror films, and I guess she figured I was too young to be affected by what was on telly. (I’ve never told her about the effects of her bad parenting.)

Christoph Waltz, Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds. This made Waltz in Spectre disappointingly less evil.

Michael Wincott is an actor who plays a good villain. He's just got the look. Deserved a much bigger career.

It's pretty good. There are a few characters in it who you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of.
Even Wayne Newton's performance has a menacing edge.
