Well anyone going to see it tonight won't get any peace on the basis they are handing out free tickets to teenagers to prevent them from going trick or treating or generally loitering!

Good luck to anyone going to see it tonight!

I do not recognise Craig´s Bond. It is an interpretation too far. For a start, the actor is not in the least sensual. Bond is supposed to be able to charm women. And he pouts. What macho hero pouts?

Daniel Craig has brought Bond in from the cold. Out of the comic book films he used to inhabit and into a more gritty, down to earth style of film.

Id like to see Bond a lot more life-like, less over the top stunts and more grim, stone-cold bird-shagging killer !!

Also saw QoS last night - and I liked it in general. I agree it's not quite as good as Casino Royale (there's no underlying romantic tension, which I didn't think would matter until it wasn't there) and there are no car chases after the first DBS v 159 v Defender set piece. However the Dakota scene over the desert was really terrific and the Ford/Sony/Omega product placements were done with a lighter touch this time around. Rubbish Bond theme though.

Yeah, agree with the above. Watched it Friday, not a bad film but for my money there was too much action and not enough of a story line.

Swap Craig for Matt Damon and you have the Bourne Identity.

Saw this yesturday, quite a good film.

But to me it sort of seemed like a bunch of stunts stringed together with a story. The stunts don't blend in subtley, and one seems to happen precisely every 5mins!

Going to see it Wed with the wife - CR I thought was dreadful and DC awful - the plot was awful too.

Standing there motionless with your eyes artifically a bright blue does not a good actor make ...

We'll see if this one is any better. I go in with an open mind as I did with CR ...

Why does anyone who thinks these new Bond films aren't any good get a slating?

Can't you handle differences of opinion?

Got to love the sound of the DBS at the start of the film though, god bless cinema surround sound!

Have to agree. It's weird, because I liked Craig in the other stuff he's done. But as Bond... can't put my finger on it but I suspect that as LA says above, he's just not charming.

I saw it on friday. Thought that it was ok, but nowhere near as good as cr. Daniel craig is good as bond, but there should have been a bit more to the story - i thought the ending was a bit rushed

Saw it yesterday and in all honesty thought it was pretty poor, especially in comparision to casino royal. It was just to confusing, boring and to be honest most of the action scenes were mediocre IMHO (including the car one). Would wait for it to come out on dvd personally.

Saw it on Friday and didn't think it as good as expected. I thought Casino Royale was excellent, and Daniel Craig is a great Bond. But...

Maybe I'm old, but the 'rock video' editing did my head in. I thought I was watching 'Transformers' at some points, not a Bond film. Endless 'shakeycam', jump-cuts etc just make the action muddled and confused. I want to see the Aston in the car chase, not 15 different angles on it every millisecond. I was also a bit hacked-off that the first 3 minutes of the movie is 'it' for the AM. About the same amount of screen time as in 'Casino', then. The theme song is some utterly dire kiddy-tat that the 11 year-olds will be flocking to buy (I really liked 'You Know my Name' from the last movie...).

The rest of the film was reasonable, action-scene editing notwithstanding; Craig can act, he's hard-as-nails, the kills were all ruthless and cold (no Roger Moore quips here) and Bond must be wondering about going gay after pondering the average life-expectancy of his recent birds. The final explosive act looked astonishingly realistic with everything blowing-up around the actors.

Perhaps the original 'cut' was 2hrs 30min, and it was only chopped down to 1hr45 to 'Bourne' it up?

I'll probably go and see it again to give it another go; movies often 'click' better the second time around.

Thought it was a bit lacking in the plot department, but they made up for that with all the action! Some real howlers missed in the edit though, hope a few people got a ticking off for that.

Watched it at a cinema that lets you take your pint from the bar into the theatre, so that got the film some bonus points too beer

Saw it on Friday night and thought it was pretty poor film.

The only thing worth watching was the Aston Martin scene at the beginning of the film.

Not as good as Casino Royale, but that was very, very good. This one was totally different from all other Bond films in that it wasn't really a standalone film. I saw it with a friend who hadn't seen Casino Royale and parts didn't really make sense to her.

The action scenes were superb though. The opening scene was eye popping!

A good film, but not great.
