You are wrong. Wrong I tell you. I am not the OP but my opinion is the only one that counts (Chris Moyles taught me that)

Don't be a spastic, I'm the OP, I asked a question, where in the last 4 pages have I disagreed with ANY of the opinions put forward?

I used to only listen to R1.

Now, it's a tolerance in the office.

Moyles is OK - I don't find him that annoying actually but Chris Evans is on R2 in the mornings now so Moyles doesn't get a look-in.

Fearne Cotton - tolerable

Greg James - cock-end unfunny Scott Mills wannabee.

Scott Mills - cock-end unfunny actual Scott Mills.

The worst thing about R1 though and I mean the thing that makes me physically switch it off in the car is the News.
Fvcking sensationalist Newsbeat, read by a patronising meeja-type in the style that makes it only suitable for broadcast on the Sunshine Bus. mad

I s'pose we should all just try to bear in mind a little more that it is aimed at kids. No, really.

Yes, I'm aware of that. And I don't think personal insults are called for. I thought the schools went back this week?

I listen at work and quite enjoy it but then again I'm only 25 so I guess I'd be considered a "yoof".

Absolute radio is much better at the weekend though, Dave Gorman especially.

Brilliant, you say you 'don't think personal insults are called for' & then follow it up with the coffee beans smiley. Good to see you sticking with your morals.

I used the term 'spastic' because your original post had no grounds whatsoever, you banged on about OP's having an opinion & that's the only one that counts & to hell with what anybody else says - yet in this thread that hasn't happened at all. I really don't see why you posted it.

But I thought the Rules of Internet stated that the Original Poster's opinion is correct and the one to behold above all others, and anyone else's ideas, thoughts, personal preferences, opinions or favourite colours are "wrong"?

XFM if I want some music and chat. Plenty of radio stations around that just play music (single genre usually) here in London. I'd usually play my own music or listen to "talk" radio shows. The mrs listens "Heart" I think?

...And how can we forget One Man And His Frog, with Scoth Cruddle and Constable Spagnoguland!

Radcliffe and Maconie are well worth a listen on R2 though - I use the listen again feature when Steve Wright starts........

Everytime I hear it, it just seems to be shouty chav crap interspersed with God-awful music. I can actually feel my IQ lowering as I'm listening to it.
Say this very thing to my Daughter whenever I hear her listening to Radio 1.

I then recall my Dad saying exactly the same to me whenever I used to listen to Radio 1.

I remember thinking that Radio 2 is only for old people.

My Daughter is of the same view.

I now listen to Radio 2 (as well as 6 Music and Planet Rock)

5pm on a Friday is the perfect time for Underworld - start of the weekend and all that.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark Theme Tune? nerd
