I do not want to see that, who the fk would ever want to see it?
What the fk!?
Not surprised at the plot seeing as it is a Serbian film made by a Serbian. Refer to modern history 1992 to 1995 if you have no idea what I'm on about.

Disgusting.
That's fking wrong.
clicked the wikipedia link, thinking "this will be gross, but I can't imagine it will be worse than some of the other dreadful stuff one reads about, such as Saw and Hostel (haven't seen and don't want to see either)".

It was much, much worse. only a diseased imagination could come up with that. That people actually collaborated to make it into a film is rather worrying.
A quick count on IMDB shows there were 57 people in the cast and crew.

57, all of whom were part of a vehicle that depicted new-born baby raping.

Jesus.
Made me feel sick just reading that.
Very weird.

How does one go about writing something like that? You've got to have a REALLY messed up head haven't you..
That's pretty fked up, and I think that there is a difference between messed up and scary. There are trailers online plus the opportunity to watch it online, but I think I'll be giving it a miss
To... er, 'understand' it, you have to realise that the film uses the characters/storyline as a vehicle to visualise the horrific way that the people of Serbia were treated by their Government and Armed Forces through years and years of abuse.

Sounds like an attempted justification after the fact to me.

Its still American Werewolf In London. Scary then, scary now, mainly because most of the people in it you really care about & like so when truly horrible things happen to them its even more affecting.

+ Jenny Agutter in a nurses uniform..... and in a shower......cloud9
I sneakily watched this when I was far too young, and had night terrors for months afterwards. It's actually quite a funny film to watch now, and very well made for the time.

First time I watched Blair Witch it scared me, and I have to agree with Event Horizon being extremely unnerving. I've not seen anything that has scared me much in the last few years, but I have high hopes for Paranormal Activity which is currently on its way to us.

Blair Witch didn't scare me until the last couple mins, so many people didn't get it though. I was disappointed as I went to see it with far too much expectation.

Can't pinpoint any particular one, but for me it's got to be the older films, where everything was done with sound/shadow and inplied stuff, that makes it more scarier in my mind

Ah yes. The first time I saw Event Horizon I practically shat myself. It loses its power with repeat viewings like most. The first time I saw "Alien" was fairly exciting too. Especially as you knew bad things were going to happen to John Hurt's character..the anticipation was worse than the actual scene!
Event Horizon is a film I missed, so I've just bought it from Play who are doing it for £2.99 at the moment:

Having just read a few articles on the Srebrenica and Potocari massacres, you begin to see why some people are so fked up.

Imagining is one thing. Getting together with a group of people to make a film about them is quite another.

Well yes, it is. But in what way did you mean?

That by not dismissing the idea instantly with revulsion, they are wrong?

A Serbian Film really isn't that bad

I was pretty bored by it all tbh. It's just out to shock. The baby scene is not even an important part of the story so I'm not sure why they bothered to include it. I'm guessing for the controversy factor.

Luckily I am able to differentiate reality from fiction.

That makes it worse to me. It just makes you wonder what is going through the minds of people who include that type of thing in their films esp if it is not that relevant to the plot.

unfortunately the reality is this does happen in the real world, so whilst the film may be fiction, the scene portrayed is a reality and that's what would make it so hard for many to watch it.

I found this interview with the people who made the film quite interesting. Explains a lot of their decisions and reasons for making the film.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBDtEP8bJGE

Also, it's good that people are trying to show some of the things that most people don't hear about in the news. Not necessarily the baby scene but some of the other things in the film. There's far too much censorship and nobody sees what actually happens. The news in other countries shows some reality but everything here is completely censored. That's why people are shocked by films like this.

The Ring.

Right from the opening wardrobe scene, you knew it was going to be beyond freaky. The look and movement of that girl still gives me the heebie-jeebies smile

The Hills Have Eyes remake was ok, although became infected with a little 'saw' like gore. That squaddie squeezing through a small hold was an interesting scene... Snap!

'The Strangers' was just odd, and was one of those films you inadvertantly watch in 'installments' as you flick through Sky movies in the evening. (Spoiler alert) What did wind me up was the way that the couple (armed with a shotty and about 20 rounds incidentally) were taken out (stabbed whilst tied to kitchen chairs!) by three teenagers in masks... I mean, WTF? Apparently based on a true story too...

Hostel was pretty scary - not in a film, content or characters way, more in a 'yep, that st's probably happening somwhere' kind of way...

By all means, make a film about the Srebrenica massacre, but how is any of what is described in the wiki entry about this film helpful in showing what really happened in Serbia?
