Fifth Gear new series
Discussion
I've always liked fifth gear, they stuck to reviewing cars and keeping it car related. Then they started to lose their way and tried to go all Top Gear with Tom Ford and sitting around talking crap. It's good to see they're going back to their roots.
One criticism about the GTR test is if they're trying to see if man or machine is faster why introduce another variable and change the driver. Try and keep everything constant for as fair a test as possible surely? I could easily have watched an hour of that (I watched it online so didn't have to go through breaks but 40 mins would have been fine without ads.)

Missed it all. Is it repeated this week at all? I seem to recall the last series was.
Why not watch it online? It's not the same on a computer.
I watched it last night through Virgin's On Demand service (like online, but on the TV ) - it's really short when you don't have to watch any adverts. Generally I thought it was quite good although the man vs machine slot would have been better if they had both done laps with and without the electronics.

Either way, changing driver was a stupid idea I thought.Just watched this online and enjoyed every minute - 23 minutes long and about 15 minutes more about cars than Top Gear. Thanks Vicky for finally ending the squealing and appealing more to us older chaps with a more informative narrative. Keep it up as I know you liebe dich. Apart from Tiff's effeminate gayness, it was top notch and I loved the Team Test.
Bump for 7:30 tonight Season 19. Episode 2 of 20. Jason Plato travels to the south of Spain to test drive the Aston Martin Virage, and Jonny Smith takes to Norway's renowned Atlantic Road in the Citroen DS3 Racing. In Lapland, Tiff Needell competes against former Touring Car driver Yvan Muller around a replica of the Hockenheimring Formula 1 track, which has been created on the frozen surface of a lake. Vicki Butler-Henderson also gets behind the wheel of the BMW M3 GTS
