Plus why haven't they compared the handwriting on the other evidence bags and KRG-30 12?
This is bloody basics.
Was saying the same thing to the missus while it was on last night. Would Ifield's flat have been cleaned by now? If not surely you'd go back to the source to see how a fresh sample compares to that which was originally tested (the swapped sample) This is bloody basics.

Naturally it's easy for us as we are seeing all sides of all things whereas the characters are only seeing a limited view.
It's a great storey line.
She told hubby last night that she is having an affair. Balaclava man is someone who has size 10 shoes and access to hubby's office. I think the fickle finger of fate is pointing at hubby's lawyer on both counts. He always plays a bit of a slime-ball character.
If it's not him, then it's probably the ACC, his acting ability alone is a serious crime against television viewers.

Bloody hell wasn't expecting information being given to Hilton at the end! Is there a motive behind why.? Or some type of sting by AC-12? If she is bent I'm guessing this is where Huntley possibly got info on Kate's boy.
Nick is going to crack IMO, he comes across as a ticking time bomb and Huntley treating him like a bh is going to backfire on her. The interview scene between Hastings and Huntley was fantastic to watch, but not as good as when Kate and Hastings were interviewing Dot in last seasons finale. I thought Hastings had her and then she pulls that out of the bag Forget action scenes and Range Rover's just give us 60 minutes of interrogation
In previous episodes when Hastings called Huntley 'darling' I didn't expect that to come back and bite him on his arse!
I quite like James/Jamie, out of all the times to correct your gaffer, he chooses right after they've been taken to the cleaners

I'm glad of the fact it's not 100% real, it's TV and escapism. I'm hooked as have been every single series. If it was real it would involve detectives going round people's houses asking why they have wrote nasty stuff on Facebook or twitter..
As for this series, certainly a lot more to come, hints of a domestic abuse storyline going on between Huntley and her husband, judging on the AC12 PC Kaurs face. I'd very much say she isn't on a sting. Didn't see that coming.
Bravo!!

I'm certain the arm and head injury will be Huntley's undoing. She's going to have a fit or something thanks to the head injury (she's taking lots of pain meds for the headache, lots of holding her head etc) and then they'll notice the arm wound. The swab taken will contain Ifield's DNA and she be done up like a kipper.
There was a similar story in law and order uk a couple of years back. An arsonist I think had some plastic lodged in his leg from the crime scene and wouldn't let doctors remove it and police analyse it therefore confirming he was the guilty party. The wound slowly got infected and I think the suspect was basically left with a choice between losing his leg/possible death if he left it and being confirmed as guilty if had the evidence removed.
Similar scenario developing here.

Hastings has always used terms like darling and luv when addressing female staff.
I've always winced when he does it as it's so out of place in the modern workplace although I know many of my older workmates still use those terms.
Never thought it would be used against him.
Really clever stuff. Loved that last interview session.

Regardless of how good the interview scene was, there's the inescapable fact that a SIO of a major case that's in the public eye has a husband that can be placed at the scene of the murder of one police officer and the serious assault/ attempted murder of another.
She would be taken off the case forthwith I'd have thought in reality
