A general question to the naysayers towards the Tribute and similar vehicles.

Is a Lister Bell Stratos with an Alfa V6 worthy of admiration or scorn. Personally a well done one like Renmure's it's total admiration in my opinion. Others may differ as is their right.

I don't think anyone's suggested the GTO is prettier, have they?
Nope, I was just expressing an opinion.
My point was that I suspect everyone's opinion will concur.

I've no problem with them at all.
For a start they are accurate enough, that the body panel will fit an original I believe (?) and with a Busso V6, they will sound almost like a real one....

Same with a decent Cobra or GT40 rep, at least they will sound right with a yank V8, even if it's not a Ford one.

But, I can't get my head around plastering Ferrari badges all over something that has a 4 cyl engine......(or even a S6)....nono
Remove all the Ferrari badges, and its a nice retro styled conversion of a Z3 however and the 4 cyl doesn't matter.

I had a fake snake(RAM SC) with a Ford 302. It did convince a lot people that it was genuine until they got really close up. I enjoyed it but would never buy another replica though.

Just seen on the Minisport Insta that they have been restoring a Mini for B&C. Another bargain for someone by the look of it !

The body panels on the LB Stratos are a better fit than the real ones, several owners of the real McCoy have said this in the past. The LB version doesn't have twin fuel fillers though whereas the real ones and the Hawk replicas do. No disrespect to the LB though as I'd love one. An owner of a gorgeous yellow example let me sit in it at the NEC a couple of years back and the build quality was beautiful.

I haven't seen B&C for a while now, I must catch up!

Good ! They would have over restored it. The VW crowd would love that with just a light recommission.

I missed the auction part; what did it go for in the end?

I went to Dalby Forest today, and drove through Thornton-le-Dale… sadly I couldn’t call in as I had a sleeping three year old in the car all tired out from the Gruffalo ‘orienteering’ - but I did see the famous B&C trailer…

Thanks! It’s unusual for the B&C team to show (any) restraint!

Wonder if they featured the B&C team getting outbid just to prove it does happen sometimes laugh Surprised the MG survived getting towed out in one piece TBH

Surprised to see the MGB find a new home.

You could buy several roadworthy MGB roadsters for the cost of a new shell (in primer)....approx £14500.

Maybe Frontline Developments could make sense of it with their pricing for a finished car, but anyone else ?

Just watching it now and unless I'm mistaken as a pair the Bugs were bid over £15k but that was turned so sold separately for under £15k combined

Yep, seller turned down the combined bid, to later sell separately in hope of getting more, but ended up with about 500 quid less than the original combined bid for both.....

Another week with not much sparking my interest. Didn't like the caravan, and winced when they showed the B&C lot bidding on it- immediately going too high again before finally giving up. Must be easy to just bid and bid, when it's isn't your money and you don't have to care about the loss at the other end.

The MG was a joke, barely worth scrapping, and the Bugs were a bit 'meh'. That lass who bought the one won't be laughing so hysterically at everything when a lorry goes into the side of it one day while her son is on board.
