Black and Blue (the film)

Not a remotely original plot - and there were definitely a couple of times we said 'why doesn't she just....'. But it was done pretty well - held our attention for the duration, and kept us up later than usual. Enjoyed it.

it's been slated in a lot of on-line reviews (Den of Geek, Inverse etc). It's still on my to watch list in case I ever run low on crap to watch but....

It passes the time, but.....

... it's a bit st. Lightweight, predictable, full of holes, but with occasional bits of a-bit-better-than-ok.

Which is disappointing given the names and budget involved.

It's predictable garbage. Gave it two episodes, I'm out.

Polygon's review is particularly damning...

That review is more entertaining than the first two episodes.

Dreamscape (1984)
Starring Dennis Quaid, Max von Sydow, Christopher Plummer

People can enter other peoples' dreams and kill them in their sleep. Kind of like how if you die in the Matrix you die in real life.

Really really cheesy 80's music (almost unbearable), ropey special effects, and I've seen it before. Not entirely sure why I am watching it.

Because you spent the previous hour and a half watching the Azerbaijan GP, and this is way better? wink

Competing to be the first to rubbish it.

Well done to Mr Minute

I watched the first one this afternoon. It's derivative of Bond, Bourne, MI, etc. etc.

It does have Lesley Manville and I have yet to see anything with her in it that was less than watchable. Perhaps this is it? I'll give it a bit longer, I've sat through worse.

I really wanted to like it.

Instead I watched ‘Ghosted’ with Ana De Arrmas (rubbished by many on here) which I actually thought was a good (admittedly lightweight) watch.

in fairness I do sit through the Queen Latiffa 'Equaliser' so if I can cope with that, this can't be that much worse....

2 films i watched last night -

Dead in a week or your money back - suicidal guy pays an assassin to kill him when he fails numerous times to kill himself - enjoyed it

Triangle of sadness - 2 models end up on a cruise with very rich people, bit wierd in places, some amusing bits, drags on for 2 hours, woody harrelson plays drunk woody harrelson.
